We were at WDW May 21st-28th and saw some really strange people:

#1. At the POP guest services Sunday (May 28th) there was a man demanding that he be allowed to stay four more nights. He was yelling that he had booked four nights (because that was all that was available at the time), but he had taken off work for eight days and told his boss that he was going to be at WDW. The CM tried to explain to him that there were absolutely no rooms available, as it was Memorial Day weekend. The man just continued to get irate, yelling that he had been to WDW four times and he expected to be treated with respect and wanted to talk to a manager that knew what he was doing. The manager finally came over and again explained that POP was fully booked and asked the man what he wanted him to do, turn out the people who were arriving expecting a room? The man yelled he didn't care what he did, but he was not leaving. The manager then asked him why he took off work for eight days, but only booked four nights. The man looked at him like he was an idiot and said 'because you guys said that was all that was available' and 'I planned to just add a few more days when I got here, now this idiot is saying you don't have any more rooms.' Well duh! The manager made a phone call, then came back and said all the values and all the moderates were fully booked and there was nothing he could do. When I walked off, the man was still demanding a room for an additional four nights.

2. On Thursday at the Fast Pass entrance to Splash Mountain a man and two kids came up as were were waiting the last minute or so for our fast pass time. He had a fast pass for a later time, but told the CM that he had to catch the DME bus at 3:00pm and would she please let him go on early. She dug in her pocket and brought out three fast passes and let him go ahead. At the time the only thing I thought was 'what a nice CM'. However on Sunday as we were again waiting that last minute or so for our fast pass time for Soarin, the same man and two kids came up with a later fast pass and again told the CM that he had a 3:00pm DME bus to catch and could they please go on a little early. Again the CM dug out three fast passes and let them go on. We round up in line with them and I couldn't resist mentioning to him that we saw them use the same excuse on Thursday to get on Splash Mountain. At first he looked startled, but then became defensive, saying WDW shouldn't have such long lines, as it encourages people to be creative. His son (about eight years old) laughed and said they had been doing it all week and never had to wait in a line. He said they would just go get a fast pass, then go straight over to the CM and look pitiful as their dad told the CM they had a bus to catch. The CMs had been letting them get on all the rides wihout having to wait for their fastpass time and then when their fast pass time came, they got to ride again as another CM was usually on duty by that time. The man seemd really proud of himself for being so 'creative'.

3. As we were getting on Dinosaur a young lady behind my mom started making comments about rude people stepping on other people. I glanced at her and she said 'yeah you'. I was shocked, as I hadn't stepped on anyone that I was aware of. I said I didn't realize I had stepped on you and don't see how I could as my mom is between you and me, but if I did, I certainly apologize. I didn't feel it.' She smirked and said "I didn't say you stepped on me, you bumped the lady in front of you'. I turned to the lady in front of me and she just shrugged like she was as confused as I was. I did apologize to her, but she said that if I touched her she didn't feel it either. I then turned and started talking to my mom, but the girl behind her just wouldn't let it go. My mom finally asked me what her problem was and I told her to ignore her as some people were just idiots. Unfortuately she overheard me and then really got irate saying she was working on her bachelor degree and then was going to get her masters. I quietly said that some of the stupidest people I worked with had Masters degrees and a degree didn't give you any 'common sense'. I then again asked the lady in front of me if I had bumped or stepped on her and she again said no. I told her that if I had I apologized and she said 'no problem' but also wondered what the girl behind us problem was, as she just wouldn't let it go. The lady in front of me finally turned to her and told her I hadn't touched her and if I had she was big enough to handle it herself. The girl behind us still wouldn't let it go and said she just couldn't stand rude people stepping on or bumping into other people and then not apologizing. I finally told her I had had enough. I had apologized to the lady I supposedly bumped into, the lady said she hadn't felt it either, and accepted my apology, now either drop it or I was going to call security. She finally hushed. I swear I didn't touch that lady in front of me or anyone else, but even if I had what business was it of the lady behind us.

4. Then there was the lady in Magic Kingdom wearing just a long lace (see through) blouse with a bikini under it. How did she get past security dressed like that. She was about 5'6" and well over 200 lbs, by the way.

Anyway there were lots of strange people last week at WDW.

:rotfl2: There are some crazy people in the world, and it looks like you got more than your share!
Thanks for sharing! Your stories are hilarious--and of course sad!
Maybe a full moon? Hope it didn't spoil the magic for you!

No wonder i hate the human race......ha ha :rotfl: :rotfl:

#1 you know what made him think if there was no room at the inn when he made his ressies that there would be room when he got there, i guess he thought he made A-- out of himself and acted a fool maybe they would get tired of him and find him a room....
#2 yes you have to admit this is 'creative' but i would not have the nerve to do it plus with your kids watching you do it......
#3 All i can say is WOW, i am so glad you stood your ground, man i bet you justed wanted to slap her, by the way how old did she look just courious..

brooke :sunny:

Maybe the heat was frying their brains? :confused3

As far as that man and his "creative" way of avoiding lines--I never undestand people who are proud when they break the rules. Here the CM's are trying to be nice and spread some pixie dust, and this is what happens. And there is probably some schmuck on here reading that and thinking "what a good idea".

Yep the loons were out in full force last week. For me it was the woman at the concierge desk insisting in very colorful language that they get her a reservation for 4 people to Chef Mickey. She was becoming quite abusive to the CM, when a man stepped up and said something to her quietly and she walked off. I think he was security.

Or the people that jam themselves through the back door of the bus instead of getting in at the front. Scares the bejeezus out of the driver everytime.

It's all so sad...

I believe I would have had to say something to the CM at Soarin' about the man who lied to him!!

Unbelievable!

I hope you had a good time anyway!

We leave in 5 days and we are just about to bust!!

Why does it matter that she was well over 200 lbs?

Good for you for saying something to the guy who was lying.

People continue to trip me out :lmao: who needs drugs with people like this in the world ! :rotfl2:

I'd call them all Rude not Strange (well except for the lady in lace! )... I hope they've all cleared out when we go in 10 days :cool1: DH has a low tolerance for, ahem, idiots! ;)

Wow!! I can't believe the things that you witnessed! I admire your patience with the lady that was saying you were rude for bumping into the person in front of you- I really don't think I would've been that patient, I would have called security right away. I think some people just like to hear themselves talk and stir up trouble! I'm glad you stood the higher ground and didn't stoop to her level!

I hope you enjoyed your trip regardless of the inconsiderate people around you. :goodvibes

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I almost never have problems with Disney CM's. Almost every time something "unmagical" occurs in WDW for us, it is because of inconsiderate guests.

I just can never understand some people's rudeness!
Sounds like you ran into all kinds last week.

Although I don't know why you felt the need to state the lady's size. Even if she was 5'3" and 100 lbs, what she wore to the park was disgusting and she should have covered up more. It's a park, not a beach!

I wonder if it was the same guy we saw earlier in the week! We saw the sam thing going on Wednesday night. What's funny... we actually called to possibly extend our room after that and there was a room available for us one night at POP (where we were staying) and one night at AS-Mu. :rolleyes1 We didn't stay becuase the kennel was booked solid and needed us to bring the baby home.

What the heck??? Did you have crazy people spray on or something?? ;)

That dad in #2...I bet he'll be puzzled in years to come when his kids shave corners & get caught...only having a "little" alcohol & then driving, only taking a "little something" from a store without paying for it, only cheating a little bit to get better grades, etc, etc. I bet he'll be the first to complain if Disney changes the FastPass system because of guests taking advantage of the loophole in regards to CMs' kindness.

Regardless, the CM still did a nice thing and did spread a bit of pixie-dust magic. I guess not every person who receives a blessing (however small) truly deserves it.

agnes!

It was an odd weekend (well of course it was---I was there!) but on Saturday in MGM we saw a woman in a bathing suit with white fish net pants on and that's it.

I also saw a CM getting berated and screamed at Thursday night as SM closed for a while and he had fastpasses.

Don't you wonder if the guy in scene one refused to check out of his room that day what they did to get him out? I don't really envision Disney CMs throwing the guy and his luggage to the curb, but it sounds like what needed to happen.

As far as the clothing...we tend to play a game when we're at Disney called...who can spot the worst dressed person of the day. Sounds like you found the winner!

Thanks for posting your stories...They made me :rotfl2: and :confused3 .

OK, where can I buy some "Rude, Crude and Cranky" people repellent? I'd like an extra large can for my next trip to WDW! :teeth:
