We were at WDW May 21st-28th and saw some really strange people:
#1. At the POP guest services Sunday (May 28th) there was a man demanding that he be allowed to stay four more nights. He was yelling that he had booked four nights (because that was all that was available at the time), but he had taken off work for eight days and told his boss that he was going to be at WDW. The CM tried to explain to him that there were absolutely no rooms available, as it was Memorial Day weekend. The man just continued to get irate, yelling that he had been to WDW four times and he expected to be treated with respect and wanted to talk to a manager that knew what he was doing. The manager finally came over and again explained that POP was fully booked and asked the man what he wanted him to do, turn out the people who were arriving expecting a room? The man yelled he didn't care what he did, but he was not leaving. The manager then asked him why he took off work for eight days, but only booked four nights. The man looked at him like he was an idiot and said 'because you guys said that was all that was available' and 'I planned to just add a few more days when I got here, now this idiot is saying you don't have any more rooms.' Well duh! The manager made a phone call, then came back and said all the values and all the moderates were fully booked and there was nothing he could do. When I walked off, the man was still demanding a room for an additional four nights.
2. On Thursday at the Fast Pass entrance to Splash Mountain a man and two kids came up as were were waiting the last minute or so for our fast pass time. He had a fast pass for a later time, but told the CM that he had to catch the DME bus at 3:00pm and would she please let him go on early. She dug in her pocket and brought out three fast passes and let him go ahead. At the time the only thing I thought was 'what a nice CM'. However on Sunday as we were again waiting that last minute or so for our fast pass time for Soarin, the same man and two kids came up with a later fast pass and again told the CM that he had a 3:00pm DME bus to catch and could they please go on a little early. Again the CM dug out three fast passes and let them go on. We round up in line with them and I couldn't resist mentioning to him that we saw them use the same excuse on Thursday to get on Splash Mountain. At first he looked startled, but then became defensive, saying WDW shouldn't have such long lines, as it encourages people to be creative. His son (about eight years old) laughed and said they had been doing it all week and never had to wait in a line. He said they would just go get a fast pass, then go straight over to the CM and look pitiful as their dad told the CM they had a bus to catch. The CMs had been letting them get on all the rides wihout having to wait for their fastpass time and then when their fast pass time came, they got to ride again as another CM was usually on duty by that time. The man seemd really proud of himself for being so 'creative'.
3. As we were getting on Dinosaur a young lady behind my mom started making comments about rude people stepping on other people. I glanced at her and she said 'yeah you'. I was shocked, as I hadn't stepped on anyone that I was aware of. I said I didn't realize I had stepped on you and don't see how I could as my mom is between you and me, but if I did, I certainly apologize. I didn't feel it.' She smirked and said "I didn't say you stepped on me, you bumped the lady in front of you'. I turned to the lady in front of me and she just shrugged like she was as confused as I was. I did apologize to her, but she said that if I touched her she didn't feel it either. I then turned and started talking to my mom, but the girl behind her just wouldn't let it go. My mom finally asked me what her problem was and I told her to ignore her as some people were just idiots. Unfortuately she overheard me and then really got irate saying she was working on her bachelor degree and then was going to get her masters. I quietly said that some of the stupidest people I worked with had Masters degrees and a degree didn't give you any 'common sense'. I then again asked the lady in front of me if I had bumped or stepped on her and she again said no. I told her that if I had I apologized and she said 'no problem' but also wondered what the girl behind us problem was, as she just wouldn't let it go. The lady in front of me finally turned to her and told her I hadn't touched her and if I had she was big enough to handle it herself. The girl behind us still wouldn't let it go and said she just couldn't stand rude people stepping on or bumping into other people and then not apologizing. I finally told her I had had enough. I had apologized to the lady I supposedly bumped into, the lady said she hadn't felt it either, and accepted my apology, now either drop it or I was going to call security. She finally hushed. I swear I didn't touch that lady in front of me or anyone else, but even if I had what business was it of the lady behind us.
4. Then there was the lady in Magic Kingdom wearing just a long lace (see through) blouse with a bikini under it. How did she get past security dressed like that. She was about 5'6" and well over 200 lbs, by the way.
Anyway there were lots of strange people last week at WDW.
