strange ?- How shaky is Star Tours?

My wife has minor neck problems and doesn't ride roller coasters anymore and is concerned about Star Tours.

So, how "jerky" is it?
I've watched some YouTubes, but it's tough to get a good feel....

I'm sure opinions will differ greatly, but it's pretty jerky, IMO. If she avoids roller coasters (which sometimes have a back that you can rest your head on to minimize jerkiness), then I would avoid this as well.

thanks; thats kinda what we figured.
No reason to ruin the rest of the trip for 1 ride.

I'm assuming she can go through the line and exit prior to boarding?

She really wants to go (especially since our son will be going), but will settle for a walk-through if that's all she can do.

I don't think it's super jerky, but I also don't have neck or back problems.

The whole vehicle moves and reacts to stuff on the screen, so it can be bumpy if your going through a bunch of meteors or something, and sometimes it throws you forward a bit. But I don't think it is too rough.

It is less bumpy than it used to be before the recent re-imagining, IMHO. However, it is still a simulator. Unlike a roller coaster where you can see the track and predict which way your body will be thrown, you really can't tell which direction the simulator is going to go next. So you can be thrown off guard a little and have your body flung around a bit.

If I had neck problems, I would not take a chance. Some of the simulations are pretty "jerky".

Yes, she can walk through the queue and exit w/o riding. The queue is pretty cool if you like Star Wars movies.

i wouldn't take the chance just incase. it not a 'super' jerky ride but jerky nonetheless.

It's much rougher in the back row, than the front, similar movements to BTMRR, if you don't ride that, don't do this, but do the queue, it's great...
