Good morning, everyone. It is with regret that I announce I will no longer be able to continue with the daily Strange But True post. Added responsibilites to a plate that is already too full at work will no longer allow me the luxury of time needed to do the research and posting. This coupled with our up-coming trip to WDW, which I'm about 3 weeks behind in the last minute details, just leaves me no choice. I have truely enjoyed these past months and must say my head is now full of useless knowledge with which I drive my friends and family crazy. This does not, however, mean I'm leaving DIS completely. Heaven forbid I should miss one of Deb's History posts. I'll be around, just not as much. Thanks to those of you who took the time to read and respond to SBT. Perhaps when this madness is over, which won't be til about mid- February, I can come up with some other fun thing for us to do.

Thanks for all those over the months, Kathy. Now get ready for your WDW. :)

We'll miss your threads, Kathy, but I understand completely. Doing a daily post DOES take a lot of time!!

BUT, you MUST give us a report about your WDW trip, and especially if you get to any DIS-CON events . . . Hey, maybe you can even receive a coveted hug from EROS (via JohnTBaptist, of course!!)

By the way, how was your anniversary weekend? We had a quiet weekend at home. Eric and the kids went fishing in our pond on Saturday, and we carved pumpkins yesterday.

Hi, Kathy.

Thanks again for the "strange but true" series of posts. I always enjoyed reading them.

Take care and I hope we'll see you around.

Thanks for your efforts, KATHY. You're a sweetheart:) :) . I've always appreciated the efforts of any member who has taken time out of his/her life to post a regular "column" here.

Love,

Hey, Deb! Thanks for asking about the weekend. Friday was the usual catch-up day, laundry, dusting, vacuming, etc.

Unfortunately, Saturday (our anniversary) it rained cats and dogs cancelling our outdoor plans for the day. Needless to say we did find some indoor activities to occupy our time, if you get my drift. We did get out for a nice dinner, but the second bottle of champagne left me a bit under the weather on Sunday. If I hadn't promised to meet some friends for brunch, I think Joe would have come home from work to find me still in bed.

Did Eric and the kids catch anything. I'm picturing you at the sink scaling and gutting trout.

Well, they got about 5 bluegill and 1 largemouth bass.

But we have a strict "catch and release" policy -- I tell the kids, "Now, we want the poor little fishy to GO BACK INTO THE POND SO THAT HE WILL CONTINUE TO GROW AND GET EVEN BIGGER!" :teeth: :teeth:
