Strange ad for eatery...

Yesterday, we saw an ad on a bench in South Miami for a sub (sandwich) place while waiting at a red light. It read like this... Get fat... Have a heart attack... Eat at Todd's Subs! I asked my brother if he has ever eaten at that place and he said that the ad "killed" his appetite.

The ad definitely gets your attention, but I don't know if I would want to eat there! Just strange...

It would get my attention, too! (although I'm a vegetarian!) Maybe it's kind of an in-your-face backlash to all the low-fat, low-carb, or Subway/Jared conciousness that's out there now?!

I agree, it's quite an "out there" kind of ad. BTW Rita, I noticed your tag says you're a Rockapella fan. I LOVE those guys!!!!

there is a place in Indiana along highway 31 thats a resturant/gas station and they have a big sign that says

Sherrills
Eat Here and
Get Gas

I always find it funny, but my kids just groan.....

I've seen that sign! We lived in Whiteland for a couple of years, and just were back in Southport to visit family over Christmas! I do miss the Ritters' Custard stand in Franklin, but Christmas isn't the time to eat frozen custard!

We'll be home in June for a wedding, and if I've stuck to my WISH program, by then I should be at my goal and I can have a custard!

Yep, seen that sign many of time. It always cracks me up.

There's a local restaurant that advertises in our weekly paper that says, "Mexican food so authentic, you'll be afraid to drink the water." Ugh

Have any of you Hoosiers seen the commercial for Scott's grocery..."Eat so much you'll bust a gut"? Yea! Thats where I do all my shopping.
Speaking of Ritters, we have a new INDOOR store, and Santa brought the kiddies gift cards! Yum! They keep that store so hot, it feels just like waiting in those horrendously long lines on any given Summer's eve!
