I am heading to WDW next week. As far as dinners go, Steak/red meat is one of my son's favorite foods. So....

Please tell me your favorite steak experiences at WDW and which "steak place" is the best for us to go to.

Thanks to all! :thumbsup2

Second vote for Yachtsman's Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. Very good steak and the service has always been excellent.

Absolutely, Yachtsman's Steakhouse is the best steak in WDW. We are actually trying Concouse Steakhouse in the Contemporary this year because we have heard very good things. I will not be able to comment on it until after June though.

Believe it or not, the best steak DH had on property is at Cinderella Castle and he has eaten steak at several Disney restaurants. It could be cut with a fork and the taste was so good he wanted to lick his plate.

Canada's "Le Cellier" in Epcot is also an excellent choice. It's more casual than Yachtsman and priced a bit less, but definitely a great value. Try the Tomato Stack for an appetizer, but only if you like tomatoes. Of course, their Cheese Soup is famous.
Have fun... try all of the suggested restaurants.

Actually the best steak I have had at WDW was at Flying Fish. Shula's is the best steak house on property. If you want something that the jockey was racing try YSH. But to each there own.

I love steak. I love red meat. Just walk a cow in front of a flame and I am a happy girl. Here are the best steaks I have had on property in order of awesomeness

1) Jiko - Filet Mignon with White Mac & Cheese & red wine reduction. Best Steak evvvvah!

2) Le Cellier - Mushroom Filet - Thick, juicy, slightly charred, yummy

3) Rose & Crown - Prime Rib with yorkies - also the cheapest. Best deal and yummy too.

4) Artist Point - Wild Game trio of Ostritch, Elk and Buffalo. INCREDIBLE! The ostritch (beef bird) is out of this world. All are really good.

5) Yachtsman Steakhouse - Filet Mignon. Thought this would be the best place of the trip and it was above average but in no way as good as Jiko which surprised me. The desserts were better than the steak, especially the jack daniels cake.

If cost is no object, steak lover's must have the filet mignon at Shula's!! Around the same price as Jiko and Yachtsman, but my parents and I all agreed it was by far the best steak we've ever had!! My dad still raves about it today to my husband who I didn't know at the time and he's a Shula . . .

We just had a wonderful meal at Yachtsman Steakhouse last week. Started with the Lobster Bisque, then the Filet (substituted the mashed potatoes with the potato gratin---yummy!) with a side order of sauteed mushrooms....very good!! We also love Le Cellier for their mushroom filet and cheese soup!

Concourse Steak House is very good but lacks atmosphere. Yachtsman and LeCellier are both very good and have better atmospheres. :thumbsup2

Le Cellier and Concourse Steakhouse. I'll have to try the FF (we always get the snapper).

Just to add, many of these restaurants (Le Cellier in particular) are very popular and you'll be lucky to get a walk up or ADR this close.

That said, my husband's rankings for last trip:

1. Jiko
2. Flying Fish
3. Teppenyaki (it isn't a traditional steak though, its slices grilled on a Teppan table)
4. Le Cellier
5. Kona

The steak he had the previous trip at Narcoosees would rate between Le Cellier and Kona. We haven't tried Yachtsman or Shulas

By far, Shula's is the very best!! We use to like the Yachtsman, but the last couple of years it has not been that great--just o.k. But, omg, Shula's with wonderful!!! Very nice and the best meal we have had in a long time anywhere!! You must try it! :cloud9:

ok I see the Yachtsman but how aobut Narcoossee's plesae let me know I am going in April and I chose Narcoossee's for their steak, its not to late for me to change reservation. Please let me know as this steak dinner DH savorite entree is for his birthday dinner!

Thanks again all!

I have actually had a great NY Strip twice at Tony's. I know alot of people don't like Tony's, but I love it. Also Artist Point, great Buffalo Steak!!!! Can't wait to eat at both this fall!!! :bounce:
