Straight to rides or stroll through MS USA?

For my family, it never gets old taking our time through Main Street. I'm guessing the commandos love families like mine that get sucked into Main Street.

Straight to the rides. Main Street doesn't go anywhere or have a posted wait time.

Yes, I love families that take their time. As long as they aren't lined up six-deep :). I enjoy taking it all in, but we do that throughout the day or when we leave. As soon as we get to the parks, we're off to the rides!

~LOL. :lmao:

~Yes! We absolutely adore families like yours -- so take your time on Main Street as we head straight for the rides! :yay:

If we could ever make it past the bakery/candy shop we would probably just hit the rides!

As much as I would like to head straight to the rides...MS sucks me in every time. I'm awestruck. Every. Time.

Yeah, I'm a dork.

I take my time on Main Street AFTER I've done rides that will have waits. With every minute you waste....the lines just get longer. I just can't understand why you wouldn't stroll Main Street later in the day...same things are there....but I love families like yours.

We've brought our children (DD 9/DS 4) to WDW for the last five years. As they get older I'm sure the MS thing will get old. I guess FP+ was created for us. Arrive after rope drop, chill out on MS and schedule rides for later in the day. I'm content to do such because my children enjoy themselves.

I put together touring plans for family members and close friends, and I have a template for a little mini-binder they can take into the parks. The first thing in bold on MK days it says: GO DIRECTLY TO FANTASYLAND (or Adventureland, whichever the start point is). DO NOT GET DISTRACTED ON MAIN STREET. DO NOT TAKE A PICTURE IN FRONT OF THE CASTLE.

LOL. We like to lollygag on Main Street after we've done some rides.

I'm actually hoping that with the new FP+, our group will be able to "stop and smell the roses" (MS USA) this trip instead of hurrying off to an attraction.

TC :cool1:

We always make a CP pre-park open ADR so we can do both: soak in Main Street USA/take a castle picture AND hit the rides first. :thumbsup2

My dh says that Mainstreet in the morning, is his FAVORITE part of DisneyWorld. To him, if we didn't do mainstreet the first morning of our disney trip, he wouldn't have felt like he got the magic. He would rather do that than ride ANY of the mountains. (edited to add: He is a HUGE coaster fan, he just feels he can ride rides anywhere, but can't get Disney magic anywhere else.)

So, I am hoping to sneak into a fastpass kiosk, while he ogles the shops...or better yet, get my fastpasses ahead of time (fingers crossed for an offsiter???)

Sometimes I never get as far as Main St.
