First off if you want the phone to stop "telling" you how many minutes you have you can call and have thet feature turned off.

ALSO, has any one had theis problem. Every once in a while I try to make a call and it says I have no minutes or the account is not active. I have to just keep trying until the call goes through. It is very annoying and customer service seems to be clueless.

I still will never go back to Verizon. I can't beleive how much i am saving per month.

If you don't think you'll need 1000 minutes a month, I can recommend T-Mobiles pre-paid plan. 10 cents a minute/text or less (the more minutes you buy the less the per minute cost is), great customer service and great coverage. I spend about $100 a year on my cell phone! Of course there is no data plan, but if all you want to do is make the occasional call or text, it's perfect.
