I was wondering if this is any good? I haven't tried it before but I see lots of people buying it, and this Thanksgiving I am looking for short cuts because we are leaving the next day for our trip and I don't want to start the trip tired.
Last year I followed a good stuffing recipe I had but I did everything from scratch, make the cornbread first, then add everything, bake, etc. It wasn't hard, just time consuming. So I was toying with the idea of a boxed version. Any ideas? :confused3

I must confess, I like it. I think it tastes good and it's very simple to fix.

We've always used Stove Top- wouldn't be the holidays without it! :flower:

we are used to homemade stuffing and think stove top is gross. We will not eat it. I would rather skip stuffing than eat it.

I love it :confused3 . I have a great slow-cooker recipe where you put chicken on the bottom of the cooker, add a can of cream of chicken and then the stove top with a little milk and set on low for 6 hours...I think that is it, really easy and tasty.

It's not like homemade but its not terrible. They have a turkey flavor too that I like. I have used it before for Thanksgiving when looking for a short cut. I am doing home made this year though.

When we use it, we buy the low-sodium version because I think the regular tastes too salty. But then again, I was brought up in a low-sodium house & still don't cook with much salt.

I suggest you get a box and see if your family likes it, before thanksgiving.

We like it but only for a quick side dish. I couldn't bring myself to use it for a holiday meal. My homemade stuffing is very simple. I saute onions in a lot of butter til onions are really soft. I toss them into broken up bread that has been seasoned with celery seed and poultry seasoning. I add enough hot water til moist then bake. Can't get any easier then that and it is our favorite stuffing.

a coworker made an awesome stuffing with stovetop- he mixed in frozen spinach and sausage. It was great and was different enough that people didn't think it was stovetop.

I like Stove Top. I prefer the homemade kind but when pressed for time ST is a good way too go IMHO. :)

I love stove top! My relatives make stuffing with sausage in it...SO SO disgusting so I make sure to have my own stove top stuffing!

We love stove top! Obviously homemade is the best, Stovetop is good too.

Of course where I'm going for Thanksgivng I would prefer Stovetop over the stuff my SIL's mother in law makes. (SIL has dinner, her MIL makes the stuffing...yucky, yucky stuff!)

Stove Top is one of those things I love to have all throughout the year, but for me it isn't for Thanksgiving. But that is because my sister makes the best stuffing/dressing and Thanksgiving isn't right without it.

It is yummy!

Call me crazy. I made homemade for the first time last week and hated it. I've grown up on Stove Top and I LOVE IT!

I love Stove Top, my favorite flavor is Pork. I use the pork regardless of what meat I am cooking, it just taste closer to homemade to me. They have cornbread too.

Stove top is okay, but the stuffing I make in a pinch is just as easy:

1 bag pepperidge farm stuffing mix
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can onion soup
1 onion, chopped
3 stalks celery chopped

mix together and bake for a half hour. It's so easy!
