We have it scheduled during our stay but I'm wondering....is it *only* hosted by Chip and Dale or do other characters also visit the restaurant?

Thanks in advance.

Its been a couple years since we did this one, but yes other characters will be there. I know Pluto was there when we went, but I can't remember who else (my kids were very young and still somewhat afraid so I don't have pictures!) Its a little more low key than some of the other, but still enjoyable.

There are usually a couple other characters, but not big name, well known ones. I've heard Meeko, Koda and Kenai from brother bear, and a park ranger are there sometimes.

It would be wonderful to meet lessar known characters! My boys love Pluto too! And they've never "met" Koda so that would be awesome if he were there!

In my mind, I'm comparing Storyteller's Cafe with 1900 Park Fare....which is 'more low-key' than Chef Mickey's but still enjoyable. Is that a fair comparison?

For clarification, the characters are only at breakfast - not dinner (in case someone reading the thread didn't know).

I would rate Storytellers even more low key and laid back than PF at WDW. When we were there it seemed like mostly adults and just a few families (May 2004). So it wasn't near as hectic as PF where most people are there for the characters first and food second. Maybe because you can order from a full breakfast menu? You also won't have the organ playing in the low ceiling of PF. The noise surroundings alone makes Storytellers one of the calmest and most relaxing character meals we've done (and we've about done them all - WDW and DL).

It seems like if people aren't in the parks and are doing a character meal they are at Goofy's first, and PP second. I think a lot of that has to do with the characters. Goofy's has a lot and a good variety (we've seen up to about 10 different characters there for brunch). PP has Stitch, which is one of the more current characters that kids are in to. Storytellers just doesn't get a lot of publicity.

I think when we ate there a couple of years ago they only had 3 characters - Chip, Dale, and Pluto. We're heading back in 3 weeks, and we're having breakfast (and maybe dinner) at Storytellers again.

We love Storytellers. Has enough character interaction to please the kids, is mellow as the op mentioned and I like their food. Plus if we stay at GC we just have to go downstairs!

Hi Harmony,

My family and I just ate there for breakfast the other morning and hlbtimes2 got it. We also saw Turk from Tarzan as well. The park ranger is pretty funny. Make sure someone in your party gets some bacon and he sees it on your plate. My kids got a kick out of his response. :) It is definitely convenient if you stay at the GC. We are on our last night here and really like the central location. Great to be able to get into CA right from the hotel! Can't beat that!!

We love Storytellers. The service is GREAT and they seem to have a handle on circulating the characters. We are going next week and cannot wait!
