We had PS for the Storybook Princesses breakfast on November 12 at 9:50. Because WS is not open at that hour, you need to walk down to the WS entrance, closest to Norway, and a CM will check your name off a list and let you through the rope. You check in again at the podium at Restaurant Akershus and get a flashing pager thing. We waited about 10 minutes beyond our PS.

The food IMHO was utterly forgettable, but the princesses were remarkably unflappable and friendly. We saw Belle, Mulan, Snow White, Jasmine and Aurora. There was only time for a quick autograph and photo but my kids seemed happy. All the kids in the restaurant were very well behaved and patient. I did not expect a gourmet spread, but some of the food was inedible, like the hard french toast sticks and dried out sausage. The potato cheese casserole and bacon were fine, however. You have to request glasses of milk but they brought huge ones and many refills of O.J.

I had never done the Cinderella's royal breakfast so I can't compare the two, but this served the purpose and my DD and DS loved their special treat. It still doesn't compare to the character interaction we had at dinner at LTT, but nothing else has.

I'm sorry to hear the breakfast food did not meet your expectations. We have this breakfast scheduled next week and I am debating back and forth about keeping it. One reason, I've got two teen boys with me who could care less and second, because of the price. We could pay for several meals for the $65+ that this one meal will cost. Did the breakfast have any redeeming qualities for you? Could you have asked for fresh food or was that impossible?

Thanks for any insight you can give me. I have no intention of paying $19 per person for inedible food!

I think you should keep your PS - it could be the time of day that affected the quality of food -- we were next-to-last seating I think. My DH enjoyed the fruit, scrambled eggs, casserole, bacon and muffins so he was well fed. I can't justify the french toast, however -- it was left behind on almost all the plates I passed on the way out. My kids were too excited to eat and I think that is a given with most character meals. The waitstaff offered us second helpings of anything we wanted, but I can't imagine it would have been fresher than what we had, considering the hour. Conversely, the family next to us asked for and inhaled seconds of everything! Go figure!

Please keep in mind that I expect more from Disney than elsewhere so maybe I am being unrealistic. If I have learned anything from these boards, it is to take opinions with a grain of salt. I kept reminding myself "Self! you are paying for the characters, not the food". We were not able to get near any of the princesses in the parks, so this was money well spent, as a once in a lifetime thing. Unlike Crystal Palace where the characters were rushed around and acted like it, here they seemed more relaxed.

I agree - you should still keep your PS. We were there the second day they opened and the atmosphere is fantastic. There was Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Auroa and Mary Poppins. Also, it is nice to walk around an empty WS.

I have done Cinderellas Royal Table 2 times and have the Storybook Princesses AND Cinderella again next week over Thanksgiving. I have to say that even at Cinderella, the character interaction is very very quick. I dont know if its because of how many people they pack in there, or if they can get more people in and out quicker because there isnt a buffet, but all the princesses stop at the table, sign books, get a picture and thats it! I guess the new princess breakfast will be very similar to Cinderella. THese french toast sticks... I read complaints about them just this morning on a Cinderella RT post. This used to be STUFFED french toast ... stuffed with some kind of cream cheese filling. It was to die for. I surely hope that with the increase in Cinderellas breakfast price they havent resorted to microwaved french toast STICKS!! YUCK! 20 bucks/person for that?? I dont think that was a good move!

We ate at PSB on 11/11 and had a great time. We had the first seating (8:30) and were seated close to the door where the princesses came out. We saw Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Mulan and Aurora. The princesses were very friendly and even managed to get a smile from my ds (age 5, who couldn't have cared less about meeting a princess). My children loved the french toast sticks (though they'll eat anything fried) and my husband and I enjoyed the eggs, potatoes and bacon. (My husband also liked the sausage) It was a great experience and would gladly do it again.

Thanks for the reviews everyone. I have PS for both CRT and PSB have been trying to decide if we want to do both??
