Storybook Canal Update

Love the fact that they added the twinkling lights as well; sounds like a cool idea. I wonder how many people will actually make the connection? Although they'll probably mention them in the narration, I suppose.

According to the Orange County Register the attraction is scheduled to reopen "this winter" which means to be after the holliday season in January or February 2026.

Love the look! Looking forward to seeing it in the spring...hey, it takes those little tiny carpenters, stone masons and electricians a lot longer to get their work done..go easy on them! 😊

I wonder how reliable that information is? Seems odd that they would take it out over the holiday season for what doesn't seem like that big of a change, especially since they do a bit of a holiday overlay on that attraction.

The website from the link you provided does say "this winter," but also talks about holiday decor:

Very Merry Mini Décor

If you’re sailing during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, you may notice wintertime decorations adorning the villages and landscaping, from wreaths the size of a coin to frosted snow.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to Storybook Land to experience the miniature magic yourself. You can count me with the dreamers, admiring Rapunzel’s Tower when it debuts in this tiny realm of fantasy this winter.

So while it does say "this winter," it also talks about holiday decor. I suppose I'm just trying to stay hopeful!

Agreed about the decor, but it is on the refurb when Holiday Time starts....winter at the DL Resort usually means January/February.
