Stormy day in Minnesota

Radar shows most of mn and Iowa receiving heavy rain today. It's pouring buckets down here in Rochester.

Last day of school, too bad for all the outdoor activities planned.

I am so thankful my son got out yesterday - I would have been sad had they needed to cancel field day!

The storm woke us all up at 330 - and we all snuggled in my bed until it passed!

I love these storms - just wish today was Saturday!

Off and on storms here too. Yesterday was the day that most of the schools did their field trips/picnics, etc. We have DS's grad party tomorrow so I hope this blows over before tomorrow afternoon!! We got an inch of rain this morning between 6:30 and 7:00. We just had our lawn fertilized so this is good for that.

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled. I'm sick of all the rain. I need to get out and do some work in my veggie garden, but haven't been able to all week, and it's looking like even more rain this weekend. Booooo.

I'm sooo unhappy with the weather this week! I have a sick dog at home that NEEDS to go out OFTEN and he is such a baby about the rain!!

Luckily he's been very good about going out, even in the rain, and hasn't had any accidents in several days!

Hey OP - we are Roch too!!! Luckily it seems to have cleared up - our alternate plan is to head to MOA after school for some fun!

Storms completely diminished in my area this afternoon. Maybe up north got hit but on the radar around here it all looks clear. Possibility of the storms regenerating up later tonight.

But dang...you could cut the humidity with a knife.

My dd had her last day yesterday, which was at Valley Fair. Lucikly they only got sprinkled on throughout the day. I however, was awake for a couple of hours overnight listening to that thunder! 3.7 inches of rain in our rain gauge this morning.
My lawn/water bill are happy, keep the sprinklers off as long as possible!
Dh is going to the Twins game tonight, so he is hoping it's done. He is wondering how to dress, since it's not very warm, but it's muggier than heck!!! Yuck!!!

Valleyfair was a ZOO on Thursday. DS17 is working there this summer (great summer job btw). He said that there were 15,000 people there, mostly kids with school groups. He worked the morning shift so it wasn't too busy for him. It was SO humid yesterday. The rain so far this spring has been well timed. We have only had to water once so far. Our neighbors have their sprinklers on timers and they water every other day. One day their sprinklers were going off WHILE it was raining--drives me NUTS. We have had close to 3" in the past week-you don't need to water.

My dh and ds are sitting down in MillVille RaceWay, just a little north of Rochester and they had no practice yesterday because it was way to muddy. I hope they get some racing in today, otherwise it is post poned until tomorrow, and rain is predicted tomorrow too. I got a few phone calls, but with those steep hills around the race track, they have to climb the hills to get decent reception.
