Okay, so I called DVC and ask specifically what was going to be closed. After being put on hold for a long time. I was told that it was only the SLIDE area. The lazy river area was scheduled to be opened. However, at this time (today) the lazy river was closed due to a mechanical failure and they are waiting for a part to be available to fix it. While they won't guarantee that it will be open, the CM thought it would be....
Can anyone currently at BCV confirm if the lazy river is indeed closed down? It sounded like it was an unexpected thing.
I have waited 6 years to secure a reservation at BCV! I finally got it and now I won't be able to enjoy the one thing that makes that resort special.
For what it is worth, the women I spoke with was very nice and I understand that things need to be fixed and maintained. But I also think we deserve more than a 2 week notice.

We take a couple hour pool break each day and I really hope we can find chairs. Ugh, this stinks for all those affected.

Yeah it says you are a normal human being.
Yes, I totally admit to being so selfish to actually want a great vacation including a nice pool area. Yes when a hurricane hit Jamaica the day before my honeymoon causing us to miss our cruise I was upset and ** gasp*** evil me wished it had not happen or it had happen another week (thereby effecting some one else).
You do realize this is a pool we are talking about, right?
People here never cease to amaze me.....
