Goofy4: Sorry I should have answered your questions first.
Do pool closings impact? I have hit a number of slide rehabs and that is always a disappointment to my children. But if just the slide is closed during my visit at the BC, it will be better than a major portion of Stormalong Bay. This is what I am trying to find out. Supposedly the resorts are not as crowded in Jan. so maybe the impact of parts of the main pool begin closed won't effect the other pools being too crowded when your mom is there.
Is it too cold in Jan.? Sometimes yes and sometimes no. Although we were at Wilderness Lodge last February and swam in the pool when it was only in the 50's outside. The pool water was really warm and my kids and I still had a great time. We have also been in FL in Feb. when it is in the 80's. One never knows.
Hope this helps.

For anyone who is currently staying at BCV now or in the near future, I would like to know what is really going to be closed in January/February. Different things I have read and heard, make it sound like the slide is definitely going to be closed during January/February but are not clear on whether the actual pool section where the slide flows into will also be closed during that timeframe as well. If they close that portion of the pool, I would hope that it is not for almost two months as it is the largest portion of the pool.
If anyone staying at the resort during January could get some first hand info from BC cast members, it would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has heard current details, please let us know.
Thanks in advance for your help.
