Storm

So far, it's just very WET down here. I don't think the center of the storm is due in the Orlando area for a couple hours yet.

It was wet and rainy this morning. Then it became windy and things have died down. It does look like rain. The storm knocked over a small tree and shook many kumquats out of the tree!

Parks were EXTREMELY slow today - slowest I've ever seen them. Rain fell off & on, occasionally heavy - wind gusts weren't all that bad, up to 30mph. Some attractions were closed for a good portion of the day due to the storm. These included Hulk (too much rain for the launcher), Pteranodon Flyers (high winds), and Bluto's (high water levels in the inland sea). Hulk was able to open from about 4:15 to close (also around lunch time) when the rain tapered off.

Center/Eye of the storm passed directly over Orlando at approx. 5:45pm. Rain has subsided with flooding still in some areas.

Good news is that the storm rushed passed us and, honestly, weather reports for Saturday and Sunday are looking really good. The rain is pretty much over with. Expect some strong breezes with partly cloudy skies.

Please come visit us! The weekend looks to be great and we could use the business!

The weekend after a storm always seems to bring great weather. A day at IOA or USF would be a nice diversion from this weeks events! :)

unless it is pouring rain a 7:30 am i am there

Whoops, I knew I was going to eat my words.

Storm has stalled just off Florida's East coast. Looks like Saturday is going to be another sloppy day with on and off showers.

Sunday, though, still looks very promising!

the word on the attendence friday at IOA is 140 guests. Mythos did not even open.

Saturday, lines were all less than 30, spidey was a walk-on as was hulk, dragons, jurassic park, cat in the hat. Dr DOOM was 5 minutes. many eatery places were not open. Mythos was open till 3:30. It will reopen at 6:00 for a private party. What a place to have a private party eh??? It did not rain at all from when i got there at 11:30 till 3:30.
MIB was 10 minutes and no single rider line. Kong was running but the first Kong's left arm was not moving. :smooth:

The word you heard regarding Friday's attendance at IOA was VERY wrong.

It was ALOT more than 140.

It was very noticeable how few guests were there and it was the slowest day I've ever seen the park. But 140 is WAY too low.

Hint, it was more than 10x that figure.

i hope you are right but i heard it from more than one person and they do not work in the same area.
