Not to sound dramatic, but NJ (and NYC) has experienced massive destruction. Flooding, fires, structural breaks, etc. There's also a nuclear plant on second alert due to water levels. Seaside Heights and Atlantic City boardwalks have been torn apart. I cant even begin to count how many towns are under water right now: AC, Seaside, Wildwood, Belmar, Union Beach, Keyport, Keangsburg, parts of Sayreville and Bound Brook, areas of Bergen County, and more. Latest report says over 2.2 million in NJ alone are without power (and consequently heat). I've never experienced anything like this.
