I agree, I wouldn't do it without a tube or float--and no way would I let smaller kids do it without floats. You can buy a float at a dollar store and use that, and even leave it when you go home, if you want. I forget the rental prices. The current can be strong!

Last year they were not allowing any floats from home - not even clear ones. The only option was to rent floats at SAB.
And I agree - there is nothing lazy about the river!! It is very DEEP and the current is strong - I swam it once and was worn out!

I don't think I would attempt the slide, but I'm as happy as a clam in the lazy river part of SAB! The DGC however, love the slide...all 3 of them!! I really was very happy we had 5 adults watching the 3 children for their first visit to BCV. The 3 1/2 year old was happy with the little one by the entrance to the pirate ship for about 1/2 hour, but then she got the courage to follow her sibs up, and well...that was that. No more staying with DBabci, that's me!

), so we'll be right with the kids when they swim, but I'd like to know where the deep and/or more challenging areas are. There may be one at the pool. The little kids area is towards the Yacht Club side. The "lazy river" is in the center. The big slide, sinking sands are closer to the Beach Club side.
