I hope nobody minds me asking this here but I thought someone might be able to help. We live in Northern Wisconsin where 8-10 feet of snow on the ground isn't unusual (unfortunately). We just bought our travel trailer this summer and already getting ready to store it for winter. Anyone from the north have any suggestions? Do we cover completely with a cover especially made for it--do we only need to cover the air conditioner or should we built a make-shift garage??
How do you all store your rig??
Any help would be appreciated.

Well I guess the first place to start is make sure all the water is out of the tanks and lines. Then add RV antifreeze to the water system don't forget the sink drains. Remove anything that is subject to freezing including the trailer battery. Some people just cover the A/C others cover the whole trailer, me I cover my whole 5er I figure the more the better. Also cover your tires, The sun will dry rot them real quick. What I have just said is very basic and you might want to go to one of the RV forums on the internet for anything I may have left out. I must say this is the earliest I have ever heard of anyone putting there RV to bed for the winter. Good Luck:D

Could you tell me what kind of cover you use? Did you buy one especially made for it, I know they make different kinds and have different fabric etc. Is there a "best one"?

Thanks

we don't cover are pop-up at all.
if you check the manual it will tell you not to cover it.
you can cover the ac,tires.
as super said you must make it ready for winter or you'll have problems in the spring, when you get it ready for that early trip to wdw.

Lory:

A lot of people use a lot of different things to cover there RV's, some are good, some are bad. A lot of people use tarps. I use one of the breathable RV covers from ADCO Co. You can check them out by going to search engine and type in adco rv parts and it wii bring up there web. site. As we4 said check your owners book to see what they say about covering your unit. You can also check www, campingworlding, com for things you might need.
