Storing balloons whilst on attractions

Hey guys :goodvibes

Me and my best friend are coming from the UK for two weeks in August/September and doing WDW and UOS so staying off site in International Drive. I love the balloons they sell on Main Street and I get one every holiday, however I have only been with family so we have had a stroller to tie a balloon on to, however since it is only my friend and I, we won't have this option.

I just want to get a balloon to "Disneyfy" our hotel room- yes we are giant kids :rotfl2: - so want to buy one on our first day. So my question is, can I leave my balloon at the loading dock when I go on a ride, not sure how this would work on rides where the loading and unloading areas are different for example Space Mountain. My other question is, are the balloons available to buy on the way out? I have always bought it in the morning so never paid much attention at night for balloons.

Thanks in advance for answers and please don't judge me for asking such a silly question :rotfl: it's the silly things in life that keep me happy :goodvibes

I'm not sure about an attraction storing the balloon for you while you ride (I just tie DD's to her stroller) but the balloons are definitely for sale on the way out. I'd probably just purchase one that first night instead of having to hold it throughout MK for the entire day. :)

I know that while we were there they had lots of different styles for sale at night while we were waiting for MSEP to start. I'm sure you'd be able to buy one on the way out.

Last year at HS a little girl gave her balloon to dd, I guess she was tired of carrying it around lol. DD was so excited but I was a bit worried about what to do with it on rides. It was fine. I asked at each ride if we could take it on the ride. Never could but the CMs always took the balloon and it was always waiting for us at the end of the ride.

We didnt get one on our last trip because we were wondering how we would get it home.

Anyone taken on a plane?

They are not allowed on planes, BUT, you can remove the helium from a Mylar Balloon and have it refilled at a party store when you get home.

That's what I've seen a lot. The CMs usually tie them onto the ride operation station or one of the rope bars and it's there waiting when you are done with the ride. But personally, I would wait until I was leaving the park. :)

To quote a current Budweiser advertising campaign, "it's only weird if it doesn't work". So don't apologize for doing something that makes you happy.
