Stop & Shop, $10 coupon for $100 in gift cards

I got this offer today when I shopped at Stop and Shop in NJ, came out with the Catalina coupons. It is for anyone though, you do not need the Catalina, it is not really a coupon.

Buy $100 in gift cards, get $10 off your next shopping order. Yes, they have Disney gift cards, and many many others. I am about to spend $500 on a new tub, and some tile at Home Depot or Lowes, so I will buy gift cards to pay for this..... and get $50 in coupons to use on food.

Last July, the offer was incredible, you got $15 coupon for only $50 in gift cards. That was so amazing, like 30% discount, I bought $700 in Disney gift cards for upcoming trips. (paid cash). This time only 10% in effect, but better than nothing.

it was in the ad for my stop and shop. check yours. i think they aren't doing it in places that have gas points. but since in NJ we don't have gas points, we get this gift card deal. i've bought 2 sets of $100 in disney GCs so far, and will definitely be doing more.

Rats, I kind of wish we DIDN'T have gas points. Our offer was for double gas points this week, so I bought a bunch of Amazon cards. I don't think I've ever seen Disney cards at my Stop and Shop---I may have to check again.

While this deal is nice, the deal over the summer was insane, for $100 in gift cards you got $30 in food coupons. I went bananas. I bought Disney gift cards, yes, but also Lowes, Home Depot, Outback, best buy. Amazon is a great idea, too.

I just checked, its double gas points for gift cards this week here in CT, too.
Not worth it for me to stock up on the gift cards like it would be if I could get the $10 coupon. Oh well.

Some gift cards don't work. I got movie ones, 4, $25 ones for stocking stuffers, and received a $10 coupon.

Then I got an Amazon Kindle $50 one (seems to just be a $50 Amazon credit when I applied it, though), and $50 iTunes. It spit out a $5 coupon, NOT $10, and it said "courtesy of iTunes". Hmm. Might be a separate promo, $5 coupon for a $50 iTunes card. No idea. The store did not have a list of which cards give the $10 coupon and which do not. I can only guess that it was the Amazon Kindle card that was an issue. The store was generous and gave me a $5 store gift card addition to the $5 coupon. I was not yelling or anything, I was just asking if they had a list of the ones that give the coupon. The problem IS, you can't tell until after you pay.

Since I want to get a Xbox with kinect, I will buy some Best Buy ones later today. (BB has a deal with the Xbox starting tomorrow it is still $299 but you get a $100 GC with the purchase. I need games and additional controllers, so it works for me)
