Welcome to my trip report! I've been saying for about two weeks now that I am going to update my first post to include a list of where the "real" trip report installments are. Alas....haven't done it yet.

Wow Lisa! Try to stay dry....I can't believe the level of the river. What a crazy year we have had for weather. Makes me wonder what winter will be like. Love the pics of the castle and statues. I need to take the girls around to them and get their pics some time. They probably have no idea they are there. I know.... BAD MOMMY right?

I bought River a splash mountain t-shirt too for being brave enough (sort of) for riding but I am saving it for a Christmas gift. I know he will love it and it will bring some of out trip back.
I also stopped and took pics of the statues this time but not all of them. I also took mine at about 1:30am. I didn't even see the indian one.
Oh by the way I looked for the hiney hiders whenever I thought of it in the restrooms but I didn't see any, I always had River with me and he kept telling me to hurry up and stop looking at the bathroom doors

I hope your mother and bil are doing better and that water starts to go down!

Love those late night pictures. All of those of the castle are great. I love all the colors. I'm thinking you were either getting tired or slap-happy. I know what was wrong with Hunter in that picture. He kept looking for me and couldn't find me. I was watching over his shoulder.

Thankfully, even though the river is still rising, we have no rain in the forecast. This has been a year of crazy weather. This morning, it was 48 when I got up and the temperature was supposed to get to 78. No wonder everybody has the sniffles.

I don't really know if I ever knew the little statues were in front of the castle either. So, if you are a bab mommy, then I am too. I knew about the big Walt one though. Does that mean I redeemed myself?

Did you buy you a t-shirt too? The indian is about mid-way down Main Street on the left if you are leaving the park.

I didn't even think to look for the hiney hiders logo this trip. River probably thought you were a nut!

Great castle pictures Lisa!! the statues are just too cute...
hope the water starts to go down after the crest...its bad being on the southern end of the water...at least the sun it still out and the weather is beautiful hoping this new found tropical system stays away...wouldn't that just be the way the end of the season the LA coast gets the one and only system of the season

The rains have finally stopped up here in the midwest and as you well know our excess rain heads your way . You guys should start receding in the next few days. We are absolutely soaked up here and our fall foliage has taken a real beating from all the rain, a lot of the leaves have been knocked off the trees. Hunters Ten commandments are very impressive. I may need a copy one day soon as my oldest Daughter has a bible project due next semester. Of course I could just get them off ebay

The castle all lit up at night is so beautiful! It's hard not to take a picture of it in every color! I do that same thing! And I'm not sure I've ever seen those statues...so cute! The Dumbo one is my favorite.

Just wanted to say that DW and I are loving reading your trip report as part of our excitement for our upcoming trip. You have such a great family, you can tell through your TR just how much fun you guys had! Look forward to more!

BTW alot of the driving shots through Vicksburg are familiar, thats the same route we take when we drive down.

I took way more castle pictures than I posted. I just can't seem to stop myself.

The river has slowed down a little....still rising though.

The river is still rising but at not such an alarming rate......3 to 4 inches per day with no real end in sight. And, get this, it's supposed to start raining at the end of the week.

If you end up having to do the Bible project, let me know and I'll send detailed instructions on how to do The Ten Commandments.

What's funny about the whole "goove" statement was Hunter was a serious as sin when he first said it. Of course, when we started laughing about it, we couldn't stop.

They are saying that the flooding is a historical event in our area. So, I figured it'd be kinda cool to have documented.

Hunter's Ten Commandments turned out quite well and he was really proud of them.

I am so glad to hear that somebody else does the same thing as me. I think I have at least three pictures of the castle in each color. Doesn't mean the pictures turn out so great but I still have the pictures.

We had a great time as a family. There's hardly ever a dull moment when we all get together.

It's always cool to see pictures of other people's road trips so I thought I'd post mine too. Isn't it neat that we see the same things on the way to Disney.
