Hi everyone!

We leave next week for our very first CRUISE aboard the Wonder:cheer2:

Here's a silly question. Do the staterooms have electrical outlets? To help us sleep at night, we listen to books on CD and I wanted to bring a small one which will require an outlet.

Thanks everyone and Happy Cruising!

Hi and :welcome:

There are NOOOOO stupid questions here. Sometimes you may just be helping another poster who is too shy to ask.

There is a plug near the desk in the stateroom. I would suggest bringing an extension cord if you need it for near the bed area. Many do this..
HTH:goodvibes

There are two outlet areas in the staterooms (Categories 4-12)....one by the desk and another outlet area behind the TV. The TV pulls out a bit and you can then reach the outlet behind it.

As mentioned in the previous post, definitely bring an extension cord if you want to use something near the bed.

I usually bring a power strip and/or extension cord because my hairdryer has one of those black box type plugs and that will not fit in the outlet by the desk because there is not enough clearance.

The power strip enables to you charge a few different items at once like camera, phone, i-pod, etc.

Thank you! Thank you!

Aack! There's no hair dryer? I am so used to hotel rooms that come w/dryers, I never pack one anymore. Good thing you said something or I would have been bummed and scary-looking!

There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. Its not powerful, thats why some cruisers bring their own and sit by the desk to do their hair. I have short hair so I use the hairdryer in the bathroom. If you bring your own its wise to bring a small powerstrip...

No I think the split bath has one! Now the quality of said Hair Dryer you might want to bring your own.

The hairdryers in the cabin bathrooms are those ones that have vaccuum type hoses.....I always bring my own.

I agree, mmouse and mommasita are right on. We took our first Disney cruise on the Wonder last month. Having a power strip was so helpful. If you want to do any kind of blow dry styling with your hair you'll need a more powerful dryer. Have a great cruise. You'll love it!
