We took our own stroller with us for our trip early this Feb. We got the plastic rain cover and it was wonderful. If you have a little one it might be especially helpful. In addition to being handy when it rained it was also great when we had some cold days and evenings. It kept the wind off of our DD1 and she was nice and toasty inside while being able to see everything going on. Finally it was helpful when she napped. We put it on and then put a blanket over and it blocked all the light as well as noise giving her a little quiet private space. We got ours for $18 at Walmart. It was a generic one but worked just fine.

Thanks for the tip!
I forgot ours last time, and we used a rain poncho to keep out the rain, but it did NOT work as well. ;)

Thanks for that. I hadn't really planned on taking a rain cover, I figured if it rained we would just put a poncho on top of the stroller. DD likes it to be pretty dark when she naps, so I will have to go get one and try it out with a blanket over it before our trip.

Rain covers are wonderful... but if you are using them for nap time covers... Please make sure the temps are low... it heats up quickly under them.

If you don't mind paying a few dollars more... B-r-Us carries one that has pull back sides with mesh for cross air.

We just picked up a generic one at Babies R Us for our Sept. trip. The one meant for our stroller would have cost us $40 per seat and we have a double, so that is $80!!!!!!:scared1:

We used a clear shower liner for our double stroller. It worked perfectly! We used it all day christmas day at the parks and our girls stayed nice and dry while everyone around us was drenched! :)

When we bought DD's stroller I insisted that we also buy the rain cover. I was thinking ahead to future Disney trips!

I just purchased one yesterday after reading another post that suggested taking one. I'm a new mommy and had not even thought about it. Thank goodness for these boards !!!

Tell me more about how that worked for you? Did you use clips of some kind to secure it? I am considering this since the one for our stroller costs $40! I can get a shower curtain for $1 at the Dollar Tree.

I loved our zip down cover! People tried to buy it off my stroller, LOL. Just a generic one, not the MacLaren. It had a flap on the back that covered my stroller handle caddy, too. I ended up giving it away on our last day rather than pack the wet thing (had to find a little girl to give it to since DD decorated it with foam Little Mermaid stickers before our trip) but I bought a new one this year.

It was funny to watch DD, when the rain got to be too much for her, she'd turn, unzip the stroller, and crawl in.

I loved always coming out of attractions to a dry stroller, too!

Don't know why I didn't think to pack ours... I will have to add it to our list. The techno double came with one!

yes that sounds interesting, I will have to remember it for next time as most covers don`t fit our sit and stand well.

what kind of stroller cover are you guys getting? I have a Graco Literider and have no clue on which one would be best. I really don't want to spen over $10 for it tho. I'm a Cheapo, I know

Can I ask where you got the zip down one? it looks cool. I bought the babies r us one last year but its very bulky and after a few times using it the front plastic window they put in it cracked, its also getting very brittle in general so I need to buy a new one.

Ours was a zip down with side vents from Walmart.com. We had a car with us for our trip so we actually had the cover as well as the stroller shipped to the local walmart near disney using site to store. We picked it and the cover up on our way to the resort. Afterwards we donated both to Give Kids the World.

Our MacLauren came with one luckily! Use it all the time... Definately feel like we got our $$$'s worth... Mainly purchased it for her 1st disney trip at the age of 1... She'll be 3 our next visit definately plan on bringing it!!!

I found my replacement on ebay. The Brand is "Comfy Baby" I see they're sold elsewhere- there's a variety. I think last year's might have been the "Jumbo" for "full size" strollers. Now I got one for "All Model Umbrella Strollers" (obviously only if they have a canopy) I guess this one won't billow like the other one did on the side as you can see in the pic. It should still fit over the cup holder we attach but I haven't tried it on yet. There is a little velco piece on the top so you can secure the front flap out of the way when it's wet but you're not using it. I always folded and carried the stroller with the cover in place and could tuck the whole top part in if DD wanted the canopy folded open to see us.

Oh, and Comfy Baby does make covers with mesh but without zippers (zip models have perforations on the side- we were there for a tropical storm, didn't notice it let rain in) so check them out to see you're getting the features you want. Also, there are jogging and double styles.

I bought one online a couple of years ago I only paid $8 for itand very sturdy! It has air vents around the side really easy to use. I would put it on our stroller when it looked like rain and we were going into an attraction especially at Epcot because most of the attractions your stroller is alittle fartheraway then the attraction. It was nice kept the seat wet and all of our stuff underneath the basket too!:goodvibes It did end up pouring down at Epoct while we were walking around the countries so it was wonderful she stayed dry, she was 8mo at the time so she didn't know the difference. Last year I brought it didn't end up needing it but kept in the basket the whole time! I will have a Maclaren this time that has a rain cover but it will only cover the front so I will still bring my other one too to cover the back of the stroller and the basket! BEST INVESTMENT EVER! You don't realy realize it til you need it!

I have seen numerous posts on "how do I mark my stroller" lately... IMO, the rain cover was the best mark we did to our stroller!! We kept the rain cover on it all the time and when we were on rides, we always pulled it down. We could automatically tell which stroller was ours! And we came back to a wet rain cover more than once! While others had a wet seat, ours was dry!

We have a double jogging stroller and bought a cover off ebay.
