We took our own stroller with us for our trip early this Feb. We got the plastic rain cover and it was wonderful. If you have a little one it might be especially helpful. In addition to being handy when it rained it was also great when we had some cold days and evenings. It kept the wind off of our DD1 and she was nice and toasty inside while being able to see everything going on. Finally it was helpful when she napped. We put it on and then put a blanket over and it blocked all the light as well as noise giving her a little quiet private space. We got ours for $18 at Walmart. It was a generic one but worked just fine.

It did end up pouring down at Epoct while we were walking around the countries so it was wonderful she stayed dry, she was 8mo at the time so she didn't know the difference. Last year I brought it didn't end up needing it but kept in the basket the whole time! I will have a Maclaren this time that has a rain cover but it will only cover the front so I will still bring my other one too to cover the back of the stroller and the basket! BEST INVESTMENT EVER! You don't realy realize it til you need it!
