We are going to WDW for 2 weeks and are planing to do 2 days at parks and 1 day of to rest for the duration with a 3 night DCL cruise in between. Should we bring a stroller for our 6 year old? We are definately bringing one for our 3 year old. We will be in the parks for a total of 6 days.

It's really up to you, but my son last used a stroller when he was 4. He walked after that. If he got tired, we headed back to the resort and took a nap or went swimming.

When my son was six we did not use a stroller for him and he was fine, but some six year olds (and older) do need strollers and there is nothing wrong with that . I sometimes wish I could use a stroller in Disney. You may need one when its late and you are trying to get to the monarail , thats when little feet are most tired and cranky. Also if you want you can rent a double stroller for both of your kids when you get to the parks , these strollers are plenty big enough for both kids to fit in even at six years old, but the rented strollers (not sure about price of rental) can only be used in the park not going to the monarail or parking etc. so if you use the rental you may end up carrying a sleepy little one after you have to turn in the rental at the exit gate. You will all have the time of your life non matter what you decide to do!

Every year from 4-7 years we bought a stroller from K-Mart for our son. whenever he got tired he would jump in, and it was somewhere to hang bags etc. He is big for his age, but was quite happy to jump in. If he would still fit i wouldn't think twice!

We just got back from a 2 week trip over Christmas and New years...we had a stroller for my 6 yr old....we loved it and she loved it....I'm not sure if we will use it again but it does make it easier on us .....

I'll be renting a double stroller for my 4 and 6 yr old this week. Hopefully they'll enjoy the ride and hopefully I'll have no problem pushing them both..:)

We did not used one on our trip in June for our five year old. I was worried, but DH insisted on not taking a stroller or renting one and honestly, she did just fine and dandy. We always took breaks in the afternoon, so it was easier on her.

We just returned from a 7 day trip with twin 6 year olds and we did not have strollers. They did great! We went to the parks every day.

My advice is to take the stroller and play it by ear. If you don't need it - fine. But if you do end up needing it, you won't have to shell out money for those daily rentals. My DD will be 7 our next trip and we will be taking one. It still is wrapped in plastic with the airline stickers from our last WDW trip. She would always fall asleep during illuminations and other nighhtime shows in it. It is a long walk with a heavy kid to the busstops. She would also use it as a seat at parades/etc.

We were there in August when my son was a few months away from his 6th birthday and we used the rental strollers a couple of days when we were going to be in the parks much of the day and do a lot of walking. Otherwise he did fine. However I'll admit that it was much easier some places with him in the stroller (like the AK and the MK on eride night when we crisscrossed back and forth a lot cause attractions had closed due to storms). The rental strollers worked great! I'd do that again in a heartbeat. The MGM we didn't need one. Have fun!
