Stoller for 4yo at WDW? Yay or nay?

We brought our umbrellla stroller for DD4 & used it everyday. We just got back yesterday and kids in the park strollers looked so uncomfortabe. I couldn't imagine renting one when you can bring your own for free.

I would bring a stroller--you might even want to invest in a bigger, bulkier, stroller, because you would get more use out of it. (Especially if you come to Disney often, plus you also could use it with your 2 yr. old.)

My 4 yr. old, uses a stroller all the time in the parks, because he tires easily. Plus, it's nice if he is feeling crabby or hot. You can just put him in the stroller, and walk around through the air-conditioned shops. Then usually after that he falls asleep. And, you already have somewhere to put all your stuff, when you go on rides. It's also a life-saver for parades!

But, some 4 yr. olds are like a kid in a candy shop when it comes to Disney. They want to look at everything, meet all the characters, and ride the rides. But who could blame them? :teeth: So, they may never use the stroller.

Really, it's all dependent on your child, you know him best.
Hope I helped! :earsgirl:

If you're taking the bus, I'd rent one at the parks. They get to be a pain and get in the way. If you'll be driving, I'd bring the stroller everywhere except the MK. I'd rent at the MK, because it is a pain on the monorail. :flower:

... to see how the 4 y/o does the first park day. you can always rent a doble stroller. DD has been going since 2, when we brought the umbrella stroller - definitely need 2 adults to carry all the stuff, plus the kids.
I think when DD was just 5, we still rented her one on very long park days. Ditto age 6. By 7 ahe was independent and proud of her running speed and agility and would not HEAR of a stroller.

melomouse :grouphug:

I would definitely take one. We went last year when DD was 3. She does not like the stroller at home, but at WDW she WANTED to be in it.

I also like haveing the stroller at night after parades/fireworks. That way we don't have to worry about where she is in the crowds.
