So another thread got me wondering who has had there stroller stolen at Disneyland. I think it is something rare and I do not even think about it at the park. :confused3 But it would put a damper on the trip.
I have heard of people decorating or chaining there strollers, but I have never gone that far. Comment on your theft protection ideas.

I'm an ex-security CM. Yes, strollers do get stolen. I haven't worked there for over 10 years. But with the current economy and high tech strollers, it wouldn't surprised me if it happens more often these days. However, if you took a percentage of all the strollers at DL versus the ones that get stolen, it was less than one percent. However, you could be that one percent. I know this wasn't much help. Sorry.

Never had a stroller stolen or anything out of a stroller stolen (been there over 200 times). I've never heard of anyone I know having a stroller taken, but I know some on this forum have had things stolen out of a stroller.

We've never had a stroller stolen. We had someone mistake our stroller for theirs. They were the exact same stroller and they brought ours back in about an hour. The CM's were very helpful in trying to help us locate it.

I remember reading somewhere on here that there was a stroller theft ring at Disneyland. Does this ring a bell to anyone?*

Taken a nice double stroller twice and an okay regular stroller once all for 5days plus. Never had the stroller or anything go missing from them. (we take our bags etc on rides with us) Had to hunt it down a couple of times and had a little one clip a water once (his mom promptly gave it back, lol) but nothing major.

Never had a stroller stolen in all the years we've been going. We did have times when the CM's move the strollers around to clear out space, though. Initial thoughts were that the stroller was stolen, but after looking around a bit, we saw that it was just moved.

Never had our stroller stollen. It's a graco double touring with the horn like handles. However, 2 summers ago we caught a guy going through the bottom of our stroller on the way out of tarzan's tree house! As soon as my husband walked up to him and asked what he was doing, he looked like a deer caught in headlights and took off. ALWAYS take anything of value with you when you leave your stroller unattended.

I remember reading that too which is why I am so freaking paranoid now to bring my nice stroller.:headache:

I remember reading that too. We just got back from a trip with our double and locked it each time we parked it. It took a few extra minutes but was worth it to us. We would have been really upset to lose it since we spent so much on it. In Fantasyland we just parked it once and walked around the area. Glad we brought our good stroller though since the push was a dream and our youngest took naps fine with the full recline.

Have been to DL twice and DW once, both with a pricey Maclaren stroller and stuff stowed in it when we left it. Never had a problem.

I can understand someone being there and deciding to steal but paying to get in to start with just to steal I don't get. I personally have never had my stroller stolen. we never leave anything under it imortant so hopefully that has helped us. We don't need a stroller anymore.

My wife bought a stroller before we left for WDW in June. It was a red polka dot Minnie Mouse stroller complete with ears, and a bow. It was by far the coolest stroller at the parks! We got so many comments on it, and the "Where did you get that stroller" that I was sure it was a gonner. But every time we exited a ride, there it was! :goodvibes

I ran a cable lock through the wheels of our pricey stroller to keep the back wheels from turning. It gave me peace of mind (mostly).

Some strollers are quite pricey even on the secondary market. You'd make your money back and have more than few hundred left over even if you bought a single day pass. Sad but true.

Just check the local Anaheim Craigslist for high end used strollers and I'm sure some of them were stolen from DLR.

I took a double Maclaren about 10 times with no problems. Often I would back in it when parking it and put the wheel locks on, just to make it a slightly tougher target to take or take stuff from.

mine was not stolen, just someone took it by mistake this was at wdw last year during MNSSHP, it really put a damper on our night. The CM's could care less when I tell them. 30 minutes later a manager came and offer me a rental stroller for free, we took it but we found ourselves looking to everyones strollers to see if we found it (just for the backpack my car keys were there). We returned at the end of the night to phillarmagic stroller parking and my same stroller was there alone but no backpack and this one was newer than mine we talk again to the cm and we wait about 40 more minutes after park close and we decide to took it (it was clear the person made a mistake). The good thing the person that took it returned the backpack (thank God) at lost and found. There is nothing that we can do to prevent to happen again, the backpack was really a big backpack and have my son name on it and still the person made the mistake.

We have had things stolen *from* our stroller.

And we have had one rental stroller taken, by someone, entirely out of the land we were in (critter country). It was *nowhere* to be found, and we looked, because we know CMs move them. But it was gone. No biggie, because after the thefts from our strollers we leave nothing, not even a bottle of water (I don't want a squirrel licking the cap and I don't want a human messing with it, and once someone put that into my head it was there for good...and I've seen squirrels roaming through strollers touching everything in there including food and sippy cups, etc) and you can just go to the rental places and get another if that happens, but still, annoying.
