stockings for elderly? have you done this? need stuffer ideas!

ask your parents or in laws what they used to get in their stockings when they were kids. My brother and I went out and got the kind of stuff that my mom used to put in our stockings when we were kids and made a stocking for her and it was a lot of fun.

I just wanted to thank the OP for starting this thread. I never thought about mil not having a stocking. So dd and I decided that's one of the things we're gonna do for her grandmother. We also looking into getting her a fleece throw/blanket with all the names of the kids, grandkids and greatgrandkids on it.

Include a big orange. Oranges were very expensive back in the day and it was a luxury to receive one in your stocking.

These are very specific to the grandma in our family, but they might work for you too:

Christmas socks
Christmas pins
candles (votives are great, as she always enjoys a variety of new scents)

Chocolate (ALWAYS!)
