We got ds an Xbox 360 bundle, 3 games, an extra controller and clothes for xmas. Needless to say...we're SO done with his gifts this year, he's gotten expensive! lol Now I'm looking for some inexpensive stocking stuffers. I'll probably get him a $10 itunes gift card and some football cards but I can't think of anything else other than candy. Any suggestions???

I'm actually not "doing" stockings this year for that reason.

I have a 16 y/o DD who I could fill 3 stockings up with stuff for--jewelry, makeup, etc.

My son is 13 and I have NOT ONE clue of something to put in there. So I didn't even put the stockings up. I can't even give him much in the way of candy because of his nut allergy.

Big fillers- my son likes boxers so I would put a pair of fun print ones. At 11 I got him Axe body spray and quickly learned what a mistake that was. But a nice cologne might not be a bad idea(a light one as they tend to bathe in it at that age:rotfl2: ) A usb card. New pens.

In addition to a lot of the ideas listed above, we put a new toothbrush, chapstick, small magic tricks, and scratch off lottery tickets in stockings.

We do a new toothbrush every year. How about toothpaste, too. My kids have certain favorite kinds. Other necessities like deoderant, shampoo, socks, etc. School supplies--pencils, markers, etc. Would he like chapstick? A book or magazine. Man, stockings can really add up, can't they??

DS12's stocking will have (so far):

bookmark
face cleaner
toothbrush
deoderant
Axe spray
tube of carmex
2 packs of favorite gum
1 of the jumbo candy bars
lottery tickets
key chain w/a house key attached (he has been asking for this)
2 packs of yugio cards
star wars figure
a 5.00 t-shirt he saw that he wanted
a dragon figurine

If I see anything else he could use, I'll grab it, but other than some mini candy bars, he is done.

You guys have great ideas...I will have to file this away mentally...
BTW, at what age do boys start wearing the deodorant and Axe spray/cologne? My DS is almost 10 and I can barely get him to bathe! Seriously, how old?

My stinky son started right when he turned 8! :scared1:

That age is tricky - here are some things we did when DS was 11ish

Silly Putty
Slime
Nerf Bombs
The pens with the games on the ends
Slinky
That gooey stuff you put on a small straw and make bubbles out of
Key chains for backpacks

DS (14) - Gloves, socks, toothbrush, deodorant, Axe body spray, comb, pens, pencils, blockbuster gift card, scratch off lottery tickets, and a Super Duper Reindeer Pooper (poops brown jelly beans).

Trust me, my son was this way until he started liking girls. Now he lives in the shower and bathes in Hollister Jake cologne.

DS12 - we are still having issues with the need to shower and use deoderant on a regular basis. He thinks I'm going to be to busy getting myself and his sister ready in the mornings to not take a wiff and verify that the deoderant was used prior to dressing. Like he's been told, I not doing it for my health, just helping you out with the girls.

He only really uses the Axe when he goes out with us. He sees his dad put cologne on, so he goes and grabs his spray.

ooh so many good ideas, thanks everyone! Even the little things add up. I just bought new stockings this year and had them embroidered, the problem is...they're HUGE! I usually stuff his stocking, literally but that's impossible with this huge stockings.

I think I'll get that reindeer poop candy, he'll get a kick out of that. I think there's a snowman poop one too that has mini marshmallows, anyone see it?

the scratch off lottery tix are a great idea!!

my sister got ds an Axe gift set for xmas last year, I could have killed her! lol Every morning before school he would spray it in his room and walk through the mist, you could smell him coming from a mile away! He's learned how to put it on in moderation now, thank god!
