Stitches Great Escape

Add us to the list of disappointed riders. We were never on Alien Encounter, so had nothing to compare it to. As for Stitch, DD, 6, didn't like the darkness and was cared, DS, 9, was bored. Neither kid wanted to ride a second time even though it was a walk on with no wait and they are both big Stitch character fans. I thought it was okay at best, but nowhere near as good as a "modern" / "newly" imagineered ride should be. Others MMV, glad you liked it.

Does Disney have a firm date that they are going to close it to fine tune? I'll be at WDW Jan 21-26 and was hoping that it will be open so my 11yo can go on it (or watch it, whatever you call Stitch...). He went on AE when he was 7-8yo and after it was over said "That's it? It wasn't scary". He is fairly timid so that was something coming from him. I haven't told him anything about Stitch so he has no preconceived notions.

I took my youngest son earlier this month. He seemed to enjoy it well enough, but didn't really want to go on it when we were at MK with my mom and sister. We did go on it again and my mom and sister were unimpressed. My mother did not like the uncomfortable seats. lol I don't think that they are designed to be comfortable, but I guess she was expecting soft theater type seats.

At this point, it is only a rumor that the ride will be re-rehab'ed.

After our family of 4 rode this last week, we just all looked at each other and said, "I didn't really like that, did you?" I think we enjoyed the pre-show better than the real ride. The ride hurt our shoulders. It wasn't funny. But there were a few parts when he escapes that I giggled a bit.
I'm glad that others enjoyed it though. Maybe they'll make it better.

Never went on AE..we all thought SGE was lame, at best. Weak story line, not much happening except some air and spray blasts, and a little pressure from the shoulder harnesses. We were totally unimpressed and will not bother to ride it again. BTW, the seats are at an AWFUL angle for anyone with lower back problems.

We wanted to love it...we really, really did. I had read all the negative posts, and I'm always a little defensive as we love all things Disney. However, hubby and I both walked out very sad that it was not more than it was. Stitch was cute...the storyline is okay....but there is nothing really to it.....I really hope that Disney does something to beef this one up. It has potential...just not Disney magic.

We didn't enjoy it much. If it is being reworked, we'll try again; otherwise we won't.

Gee, and here I thought there would be a thread just for people who actually enjoyed Stitch. Some people just gotta rain on the parade, don't they!

We tried to go in twice over the Christmas weekend, but both times it had broke down just before we got to it.

I'm not sure that more than a one page thread could be written by poeple who enjoyed Stitch... ;)

And silly me, I thought that it was a forum to discuss things!
