I guess the Stitch ride has been much talked about - but I missed the "chat".......can someone brief me..is it same but with a stitch - scary as alien for kids or not so scary? My kids 11 and 9.

I have not ridden it yet and never went on the alien ride, but have read on many of these sites that it was kid friendly. More of a funny scary. For ex. stitch will whisper in your ear or play with your hair. After all our reading DS(8,6&2) all want to ride it. They get scared easily.(Believe it or not they are afraid of silly things, but love high intensity rides.) More so the oldest.

I obviously haven't rode it since it hasn't opened yet, but from all I've read it's supposed to be far more kid friendly, more fun than scary, if scarey at all. My oldest daughters dying to ride it.

Hey Prince Eric.....;) Is the Stitch attraction as dark as alien. I know for certain if it is my son won't like it.

DS (9) and I were so scared on alien! We were both crying and I kept telling him over and over that, "It will be done soon, It will be done soon."

It scared me so bad that now I'm scared to even try Stitch!

Funny how different kids (and adults) can be. On our first trip to WDW my kids were 4, 7, and 10. I brought the 10 to Alien and she wasn't bothered at all by it. I knew my 7yo would love it, but he was scared because of all the warnings and I ended up bribing him. He went and liked it a lot. The next visit my then 4yo was now 7 and I bribed him to go. After it was over he said, "that was it?". He's not exactly the bravest kids, either, but I guess wasn't scared by that type of scary. It will be interesting to see how Stitch will compare.

The whole Alien thing freaked me out the first time ... in that "I Feel Like I'm In A Scary Movie" type way. However, both DH & I loved it. When we did it last year on our return trip to WDW, it had lost it's effect. It didn't give me that thrill. I did get shivers when it breathed down my back, though. I think b/c we knew what was going to happen, it lost that thrill. We sure couldn't take DS on it any of the times we were there b/c he was waaay too young.

Anyway, I haven't heard much about the Stitch ride (other than the recordings you hear when you walk by the ride) but I hope it will be more fun for the whole family. I'd love to hear more -- did someone get to test ride it?!!?
