Sat. Nov 13th.

Our plan today was to hit MGM for an hour for early opening then move to Epcot. Bad move! MGM was packed to the gills with people that had come for the Soap weekend. I thought maybe there wouldn't be a line for the rides since people would be waiting for autographs. Wrong again! We hit the Muppets show then left. The but to take us to Epcot took at least 30 minutes. This was discouraging. Plus it was a Saturday and alot of locals were filling up the place too. So different than last year, we walked onto everything. Well we decided to just do whatever we could get done. We don't have AP's and had already used up a day on our passes, otherwise I would have bailed! It was that congested.

Started Epcot with getting Fast Passes for Test Track. Then got in the single riders line. Not too bad of a wait. Love this ride, I always compare it to my Dad's driving. Then on to the Universe of Energy. I remembered this line goes quickly so we waited not too long, and I haven't seen this for a long time. We took a break at Ice Station Cool and that gave us a shot of adrenaline to carry on! :drinking1

I wanted to see Living with the Land because I missed this on our last trip. Even this we waited 20-30 minutes for. I couldn't believe this. Another reason it was so busy was this was the last day of Food and Wine Festival. I don't ever remember seeing EPCOT congested! Yikes! Back to the ride. Devon rolled his eyes but I wanted to see those vegetables already.

After that it was back to Test Track. After another fun ride we headed to Mexico for a nachos break at the Cantina. Devon didn't remember that there was even a ride here. We enjoyed it, but he just about choked when he saw part of it was like It's A Small World! Ha! :charac2: Your sisters are slaving away at their community theater play and school and you're here at WDW. I'm not feeling too sorry for you. I don't think so!! Missed the Norway boat ride last time too, so we did that.

It was now time to head for Canada for our 3:00 PS's. I have never been to the Le Cellier Steak House, so we were excited! James from Vancouver was our waiter. Very nice and prompt. The bread sticks were all yummy. I had the tomato stack. A little too oily for me, but the tomatoes were meaty and good. Devon once again was the keeper of the meat. I have never had a melt in your mouth steak until now. Devon inhaled this. We really liked the mashed potatoes too. We had a red smoothy. Our meal was very nice and for dessert we had the apple cranberry cobbler. Very sweet and the ice cream made it very good. Couldn't quite finish this, and believe me we tried!! I used a kingdom lunch voucher for this meal. My only complaint was that we sat right next to the kitchen doors. But I was with my son, so it wasn't like it was a romantic dinner anyway. I met a server from my home town of Saskatoon and we chatted a bit. Rolled out of there and didn't want to see food for awhile!

Enjoyed the Canadian movie and although I think its dated I love that song. Sniff, sniff.

Meandered our way through to Japan and Devon fell in love with this department store with the Yugio cards in Japanese. I shopped around while he dreamed.

I finally get to try a Kaki Gori. Tried the cherry one and it was yummy and sweet.

On our way to the film at China we came accross a very lonely looking Mulan. Not a soul around. Said Hi and took her picture. There were only about 10 people in this theater. Very quiet.

From here it was already about 5 pm. I wanted to see spectro at MK so we left. Headed back to Pop to get our jackets and change cloths. OK that gave us our second wind. Grabbed rain ponchos too. Arrived to find another big crowd. Got Fast Passes for Space Mountain then looked for something else to do. I dragged Devon to The Carousel of Progress which I always enjoy that oldy. I had asked earlier about Stitch and the CM said it was closed due to technichal difficulties. Now it was mobbed so I assumed they got it going. None of the other rides were moving either so we didn't have anything to lose. Chatted with a nice Mom and after about 20-30 minutes wait enjoyed the show. My son enjoyed it more than I did. And because you get locked in your seats he got scared he didn't know what was to happen. I did. Nothing! Just kidding, he loved it. And then they dump you into the Stitch gift shop. Devon is loving this stuff and I just want to get out. I was a good Mom and let him look.

Our Fast Passes weren't good yet so we went to Toon Town. My 7 yr old daughter wanted a beautiful dress and the 11 yr old daughter wanted Mickey hands (that's here name too). No line at the Barn Stormer so we rode that 4 times without getting off. We laughed so hard! I guess we were getting tired and silly!

Went into the Toon Town Fair and all the Princess's were out dancing with kids and other characters. I also had to bring autograph's for Rene' my 7 yr old. I got Sleeping Beauties and Daisy Duck's.

Back to Space Mountain. I haven't rode this for a long time and I'm not that young anymore. My son teases me that I scream alot and I said well that's my way of having fun. He's a man of few words. We would have gone on this many more times but not today with those lines. So scary.

It started drizzling. I tried to see Spectro but too crowded. I didn't feel like fighting for a spot. We found a bad spot for Wishes. I didn't know there was one, but we found it. It was the bridge from Fantasyland to the castle. The lights on the castle were fine but a tree hid 99% of the fireworks. Oh well. You couldn't hear anything either. There were no speakers near us. Now our only tiff of the day was the rain ponchos. I had a jacket but he didn't and I kept bugging him to put it on. When he was good and soaked he finally put it on and then it stopped raining!!

We shuffled out with the masses. I was determined to slow it down a little, so we stopped at Casey's for a hot dog. There weren't many people around so I thought maybe they stopped serving. We were a little hungry. We went to the back with our snack and Devon cheared up once he saw benches and a TV playing Disney short clips! :earboy2:

We left for the busses only to wait another hour! Eeeeeks! I was just thankful I didn't have any small screaming exhausted children. Poor things.

Once back at the resort we needed to rethink our plans and wondered how many days would be this busy. At WDW I have alot of stamina, but I needed to slow down the pace for Devon and he got a bad bite on the back of his leg that flared up swollen. Ouch. He said it didn't hurt but it was just irritated.

Another night of listening to people laugh at the pool. It becomes not so funny when you're tired. I called the desk and I didn't know that they are 24 hr pools. Silly me thought people went to bed eventually. Finally crashed.

Sounds like you are having a great time, except for the long bus wait. Looking forward to your next trip report. :teleport:
