Stitch re-do

OK, there must be some news or rumors as to what the remake of Extra terrorestrial will be like. Will it be a simple matter of the Stitch character replacing the original alien in the center of the room, or will it be a complete makeover, or something in between? I suspect a complete makeover would not be the case due to the time frame for completion. But I have no idea, haven't heard a thing.

Actually, Skippy is the plushy character that gets burned in the teleporter demonstration, not the robot operator.

I didn't say Skippy was the robot. I said they were keeping Skippy as well as the robot - just can't remember his name- SIR in't it, or rather S.I.R.

Rumor is it will essentially be the same sound effects based show - just with a much lighter tone. The story takes place before the events of the film - you, the guests, are there to provide "extra security" as Experiement 626 is displayed before the Galactic Empire council. Naturally, Stitch escapes, the lights go out, and he runs around the theater as attempts are made to catch him. All of the effects that were used in 'Alien Encounter' are there in 'Stitch'.

Oh, oh, oh... this reminded me of something I wanted to ask about this awhile back, but forgot. I read somewhere, and I can't remember where, that the ride "mech" would not be altered. Meaning the shoulder restraints, speakers, effects, etc.

That would mean the same height requirment would remain.

Anyone know if this is true?

The only rumor I have read about this is that they plan to include some new cutting edge animatronics. I'll believe it when I see it, but I am hoping this is true.
