Stitch and Bug-really that bad?

Stitch is ok. If he can handle the over the shoulder restraints, he will be fine.

Now, no body on here has mentioned the spiders that drop down from the ceiling in ITTBAB. THAT is what scared my son when he was little. He is 10 now and still hates that part. I just tell him to close his eyes on that part. They don't actually drop ON you - they just come down on their spider web string from the ceiling and then go back up.

Also, yes it is animated, but Flick is an animatronic and also Hopper - the bad guy. He stays in one place, but I have seen little kids go crazy and scream when he comes out. He didn't bother my child.

Watch the youtube. That is the best advice given on this thread. Then decide for yourself. :)

My DS really loved Stitch, so we are planning on that for our next trip.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

Based on all the terrible reviews on the boards I had planned on skipping Stitch and Tough to be a Bug. But my DS 6 said he thought the Stitch ride looked cool in the planning DVD. Dark and smells won't creep him out. What is it about Stitch that has everyone hating it so much?

On the same note, have read numerous reviews about It's Tough to be a Bug saying much the same thing-that many don't like it and it can creep out even bug lovers. Does it contain larger-than-life live footage of actual bugs, or is it all animated type stuff?

I'm pregnant and somewhat prone to motion sickness and also generallly grossed out by bugs (can't read DS his library book about ladybugs b/c the mouth thing grosses me out). Have no idea how much those factors might come into play in either of these attractions.

Just looking for some clues on if these are:
1. Skip altogether
2. Whole family attends
3. Dad duty

Provided the line for Stitch isn't long Do it!!! Its not horrible and then you can decide yeah or nay for future trips! My son loves this ride...daughter thinks it is stupid...I think cause mom doesn't like the gross nature. Bug is fun for all...I think the only portion that can frighten children is Hopper he is large and loud, I just warn my toddler each time he comes out, and he is fine.:scared1:

I don't know, my DH and I just enjoyed Alien Enounter more than the Stitch attraction. As for It's Tough To Be A Bug -- we love this. It's a "must-do" for us whenever we go to AK.

My then 3 year old niece LOVED Stitch...she is now 6 and we took her in January, again she loved Stitch, liked Its Tough To Be A Bug but hated Honey I Shrunk the Audience.

I actually find Stitch to be rather fun. I'm not afraid of the dark or noises or anything of that nature. The smells are a bit gross, but overall it's fun! I think a brave six-year-old would enjoy it if they don't fear dark, loud noises, and nasty smells.

It's Tough to be a Bug, however, is all in it's own class! It's animated, but if you're squeamish or hate bugs, it is not for you! I know plenty of adults who freaked out and hated it, and there are always tons of screaming, hysterical children (not that I blame them)! There's definitely a lot of jumpy scenes, and I always get that itchy-crawly feeling afterwards. I would definitely not take him if he's jumpy or squeamish. If he likes bugs/insects..well..he should be fine!
