OT - DG was on a TV show last night. It was one of those shows where a couple gets shown 3 homes under the price range, then the difference is used for improvements. 1 of the houses were in DG, the other 2 in Glen Ellyn. They ended up picking one in Glen Ellyn. It was kind of cool to see DG mentioned though and they took some shots of Downtown.

I love when they show DG on stuff. Im bummed I missed it. With Barry, right? Jim and I always were convinced Barry was a drug addict when he was on Trading SPaces. We'd say "Look at the way he moves? His beeety little eyes! He's totally on something"

Ummmm - we ordered lunch today from Ted's Montana Grill. Ever been there?

As good as this Cobb Salad is - it was $13 bucks. Lordy.

I will not be getting lunch from here, again.

Speaking of Cobb Salads - have you guys ever had Brown Derby's? Its SO good! And it's like pre-chewed, they dice it up so small! I love it! I used to REALLY love when Starring Rolls next door was able to go to Brown Derby and get you a slice of Grapefruit Cake if you asked. That perk is gone.

What do you guys do for Thanksgiving? We go to Jimmy's Mom's on Thanksgiving - but the Friday after is when I cook.

$13 for a salad!?! Hachee Machee!

We usually cook a big meal at my parent's house but this year my aunt and uncle asked us to come over and send Thanksgiving with them. I'm disgruntled because I'm a very good cook and I'd rather us stay home and make our own food that way we can make sure we get what we want and we can eat in our pajama's but oh well.

Friday we do the black Friday shopping. I KNOW I KNOW a lot of people hate it. I have to listen to a hundred people every year tell us that we're crazy and its not worth it blah blah blah but for us it is. We get some GREAT deals that my parents wouldn't be able to afford otherwise and we have a LOT of fun doing it. We have a tradition. The night before my dad goes out and gets the paper and we all go through all of the ads and circle the things we want and put our initials next to it. Then everyone goes back through the ads and decides what they want to get for people. We always have a blast and we love it.

Yes I am very defensive of our Black Friday shopping. I get tired of being heckled for it.


Oh and I should have put Cracker Barrel on my list of favorite chains!

Ummmm - we ordered lunch today from Ted's Montana Grill. Ever been there? No, but it sounds familiar. They are on restaurant.com. Go buy a coupon from there. 80% off code is SURPRISE. I just bought 2 of them for Vegas. You can get a $10 coupon for Ted's for 60 cents, minimum spending amount is $20. So, you an friend can have 2 of them salads for cheaper then. Aren't you glad I'm your friend?

We go to DH's sister's house. My Mom is turning 60 on Turkey day so my immediate family will be there too. Friday, I'm coming by you. (I don't cook) Saturday, my sister, niece, and I are taking my Mom to see Dirty Dancing for her b-day then out for dinner. Fun filled Turkey day weekend for me.

Yeah, Carraba's! Cat - have you gone? It is right by Hollywood Blvd. It's sooo good! Way better than Olive Garden. I do like Olive Garden's salad and breadsticks, just not their other food.

We do Black Friday shopping - but I dont know if Ill be doing it this year. I was so irritated and cold last year - I might be skipping it.

I got in a fight with a lady in line last year. First year that we ever had anything bad happen. We were at Best Buy and the line was REALLY long. it opened at 4am and we got there are like 3:30 so we were about 1/3 of the way back in line. Well at about 15 till this lady waltz's up from the parking lot and gets in line right behind my mom and I, meaning she cut in line because there were LOADS of people behind us. So people start complaining to each other under their breath but everyone is afraid to actually say something to her. So then someone from best Buy comes down the line and they are like we're trying to keep it orderly here folks, please let us know if anyone has cut in line etc etc. So I was like "She did!" and I pointed at her. everyone (except her of course) started clapping, the kicked her to the back of the line but the whole way there she was screaming about how I was just being mean to her because she was black and calling me racist and a whole bunch of other names.

My mom kept being afraid we were going to run into her later in the store, but we never did.

Thats why we ordered from there. This dude had some of those already and said if it was any good, we could get more.

But of course Im glad youre my friend! I have someone close by to dump hangers in their lawn, now! Thanks Sun!

I just like the simplicity of Olive Garden. I liked Carraba's - but it didnt stand out (not like OG does ) I dunno.... Jim and I will go on Saturday's a lot for the soup, salad & bread for $6.95 thing. With 2 sangria's, it's still crazy cheap.

You know where they have a great Caesar salad - honest to God? The POP Century food court. The ones they make for you - not the pre-made ones.
