Lightning lane usage question for park hoppers - expired selection

Hopefully, this has not been asked before. It’s about what happens after a selection expires for a long time (> 2 hours) especially if it’s a show and no other selections have been used.

If the first selection is a ride and if you still want to do it, the CM sometimes let you in by courtesy if you are late for an hour or so. Does it change if it’s a show?
In the Genie+ era, I remember you get another two hours after park opening if you haven’t used any. Is it still the case even though it’s not mentioned on paper?

Now about hopping - when can you book attractions at another park. I know the official rule is that you have to USE it in the first attraction you selected before you can select attractions at other parks. I wonder what if the first selection expires due to something like delayed arrival?
The potential scenario is that if the flight is delayed, I might consider strategically skip the first park I plan to visit and book attractions the 2nd park while I haven’t tapped to use any at the park I made the reservation for. Any insight or suggestions?
Let’s say I reserved 11AM, 3PM, 7PM at HS. On that day, I am still at the airport 12PM and I want to reserve a ride at MK in the afternoon knowing I won’t make the 11AM one, while I want to keep the 7PM one. Would it be allowed?
(I remember I had one selection expired and it stays on my tipboard that I can no longer modify late 2024. But I did not hop to another park nor need extra selection then.)
Thanks in advance!

(I do understand that if all attractions are booked out the day you go, you can no longer make any more selection.)

Shows don't participate in LL offerings. That went away in July 2024 when LLMP and/or LLSP launched.

No, Multi Park booking of LLMP does not work until you actually tap in to the park where you purchases your LLMP. You must enter the park, and have tapped in at one of your LLMP selections. This is to unlock the ride Tiers, and Multi Park usage of LLMP.

OP, Unless your arrival day is one of your very few park days, I personally wouldn't purchase LLMP or LLSP for that day. Because you can't know what could happen with your flight. I've had a flight delayed for 8 hours (a 2.5-hour flight), for example.

And listen to @Dave006. They know their stuff.

I can't say what a cast member would allow, but you're certainly not entitled to go to a later show. If you know you are going to be late, it's better to modify your LL for the show to a later time.

The 2-hour rule is dead. Remember that with Genie+ you could only book one attraction at a time and had no choice as to return times. LLMP allows three attractions to be booked at all times and you can choose from available times. The rules are different.

You have to tap in to an attraction to unlock the park and tier restrictions. Disney does not want people who haven't even come to the park yet to be able to switch their attraction selections to other parks and stock up on Tier 1 attractions. In the days between when LLMP was announced and when it began, there were posts by people who said they were going to let their first LLMP expire before they left their hotel so they could exploit the system. That was too big a loophole to allow. Disney cut it off. If your first LLMP Tier 2 reservation expires before you get to the park, you can replace it, but only with another attraction in the same park and tier.

I disagree with the planDisney writer.

Many shows are available on LLMP, including the Indiana Jones show at HS and the Lion King show at AK. It's meet-and-greets that stopped having LLs when Genie+ switched to LLMP.
