Hello! So, the rain finally stopped! There is some major flooding in my area. My poor sister would have no luck if she didn't have bad luck. She is having car troubles, just moved into a new apartment & got kicked out at 4AM b/c there was flooding in the basement and had to turn off the electricity. All the roads by her are closed off. My niece's high school is closed tomorrow b/c all the roads are closed to get there! We got 8+ inches this weekend, over 6 on Saturday. Thank goodness we don't get water in our basement. What a crummy weekend!!!!!

I don't think my DH would come on here b/c I mostly sign on from my laptop. Not sure if our home computer has me logged in so he wouldn't know to do it. So, you guys are out of luck. Should I say my goodbye's now?

Morning! It's my Monday off! Yippee! I'm going to clean the house and go get some fake eyelashes for Vegas. My friend and I decided to go glam this time! I hope I can apply them. Cat........any tips? I want to get the kind that are small knots with a few hairs in each and they stay on for a few weeks. I tried the strip and I thought they looked too fake so I never wore them out.

Good morning!

So, we have A/C today at work!

They decided to tar the roof of my work yesterday so they shut the AC off b/c the fumes were coming in. Then it was like 85 degrees in here, no windows.

You would think they would do those kind of things when people are not working, no?????

Anyway, what's everyone up to?

Nothing much here, just getting ready for my trip!

It is beautiful here! 75 and sunny this week. Big change from the monsoon rains over the weekend. My sister is out of her place for a few weeks, they say! It is still flooded where she lives which is only 10 miles east of me!

Our building does not have windows that you can open which is why we need A/C. We have AC today though!

Abby is getting excited. I don't think she has any concept of time though so she is not really jumping up & down or anything. She loves Splash Mountain! She's a daredevil and will go on anything she is tall enough for. So, she liked "the Yeti ride" (Expedition Everest) too. She didn't like Space Mountain too much b/c she said she kept hitting her head. I'm sure she will go on it again. She is not quite tall enough for RNRRC yet. Maybe next year!

What about you? You are leaving for Vegas soon!!!!!

Yep, tomorrow is Vegas! Looking forward to it. We haven't stayed at the MGM before, this will be the first time for that hotel. I have heard the pool is really nice.

I hope you guys are going to have a great time. What restaurants to you have reserved?

I've never stayed at MGM. I do usually stay at the end of the strip though. I've stayed at the Luxor and NY, NY a few times. The only "restaurant" I've ever eaten at Vegas was the Rio buffet. It was really good. Lots of seafood. They have the Voo Doo Lounge which is a bar at the top and it has an outdoor area. Go there if you are looking for somewhere to go and not have to pay any crazy cover fees & is not "clubby."

For Disney, we are eating at:

California Grill - 1st time
Princess Storybook breakfast
Teppan Edo - 1st time
Liberty Tree Tavern - 1st time (before MNSSHP)
Le Cellier
Spoodles - 1st time
1900 Park Fare breakfast - 1st time
Ohana

I want to hear about Spoodles. We usually stay at the Boardwalk, but we have never eaten in Spoodles before. We love ESPN club and the brewery. I think you guys will like Teppan Edo. Have you ever eaten any place similar to that before? We have two that we have been to in the Seattle area that are similar to that. Our kids love it.

My SIL ate at Spoodles in August and she said if we needed to skip a meal, that would be the one. She said it was not bad, but a very limited menu. We'll probably still give it a shot so I'll let you know.

Those are both good. If you guys are into sports you might have a great time at ESPN because they do a live radio show most nights and you can participate and answer questions. We love it. And it doen't have ADR's, you just get in line. If you can eat slightly before the rush, like 5:00, you won't wait more than 5 minutes.

I don't think you will be talking to yourself much, you'll be too busy packing! Breezy and Ward are both here, they are just talking politics.

Hey Breezy and Ward, I'm with ya, I just don't like to hash it out with people. I need to get the McCain/Palin sign for my signature. My DH scolded me for not having it! How do I get it?
