I'm here.

I got sick yesterday and took today off.

I'm torn. I miss you guys, but at the same time I'm tired of a lot of the crap around here. It's so middle school. You can't say anything without knowing people are talking about you behind your back. Its both sad and annoying. It kinda takes the fun out of it. So I've just kind of been taking a break from the board.

I'm sooooo stressed out recently between my DH hating his job and my upcoming surgery. I'm upset and exhausted all the time. I used to like to come here for fun as an escape and now it just feels like its just one more peice of stress in my life dealing with jerks.

I know how you feel. When I posted about why I wasn't going to post my dates, I got replies from people who don't normally post on this thread. I don't get why anyone would want to spend their time reading a thread they don't activly participate in, seems like a waste of time to me.

Seriously.

I'm also just sick of people acting like they know everything about you just because they read a few posts on a message board. If I have one more person allude to the fact that I am making my surgery out to be worse than it is, I will scream. Did it ever occur to them that I might have other medical issues going on that make this in turn so scary? No, they'd rather just tell you to buck up, relate to their own personal story, and move along. Well every surgery isn't the same for every person, and every person's health status is not the same when they go into a surgery so please just keep it to yourself.

I am so sick of this. I had finally rid myself of all the horrible people in my life. I fled from all of my bullies and fake friends. I found a fun thread with some awesome girls that I liked to visit to have fun during the day, and now it's just like it used to be. Knowing that weird people are tracking every move I make. Making fun of me, and my friends. It's just old and tiring.

I don't know if I am as strong as you Cat. I don't know how you deal with it.

And Carolyn I'm so sorry you've had to put up with so much grief too.

All you other girls, thank you sooo much for your kind wishes!

I remember once I posted about a medical condition I have, and was made fun of. I was told I was making a bid deal, I probably cause it myself, (which is not possible,) and that I was much too self centered or something.

This wasn't something I talked about on the DIS, but on another site, which after that, I no longer participate on, but I hate it when people tell me to get over myself, that it's not that big of a deal, when they don't have the full story or all the details.

This is a tread on the discussion board so it is open to everyone. Sorry you feel that "other people" are invading your space. But once you put something out on a public forum you are open to others reading and commenting.

You can always do a blog and them you can control the comments and delete the ones you don' like. Or you could do PM's to your close friends.

Myspace is good for those that want to control the comments they get.

Those who put "to much information on the Web" are just asking for people to comment. Its like a train wreck. Everyone wants to see how the accident happened and where it will end.

If you want true friendship, maybe the internet is not the right place for you. Step back and get to know "real " people.

I think it's oddly strange you only post what you perceive as advice, though. But hey - the internet is an odd place.

Just quit the innocent act - truly. Who said we're looking for 'real friends'? Enough already with the 'find real friends'. I have news for you - Im not the only one posting day in and day out on the internet. It's amusing to me the same people giving the 'advice' of finding real friends, are themselves, on the internet as much. Figure that one out.

I really don't think it's the ones that DO post here. It's the ones that aren't even members of the DIS and read here then go post mean things about someone on other site. Sure they are free to do it, but why on earth would they want to.

I do read some trip reports, but I don't comment on them. They are just fun reads. But I'm wondering why anyone who is not an active member of the DIS would be here reading and commenting on posts at bad places. They really need to get a life.

Hi girls. My kitty Waldo died. He got hit by a car. My DD is the most sad. I feel so bad for her. He was the cutest little dark grey kitten that had the loudest purrrrrr whenever you even touched him a little bit. And he had a funny meow that sort of sounded like talking sometimes. We will all swear that he could say hello. The Japanese girls even heard it and they screamed because they thought he said hello. He said it like a question whenever he was looking for someone. He will be missed.

I am so sorry about your cat. Mine died a few months ago, and I know how upsetting that was for me. I'll keep you, your DD, and the rest of your family in my thoughts.
