It's a bit scary
how many people seem to be constantly checking their accounts for the hallowed stimulus payment.
The government has done quite a job of creating hype about the payment and encouraging people to spend. From the tone of some of these threads there seems to be a desperate need for the funds. That, too, scares me. If you are living paycheck to paycheck this payment should remain in your savings account as a cushion or insurance policy for the financial emergency that will undoubtedly occur...
I don't think the stimulus plan is a bad idea... but it disheartens me to see how people are getting a little crazy over it.

The government released dates, specifying that the rebate would come earlier....so people are expecting it.
. Now they're freaking out b/c the money isn't there to bail them out yet.
