Hi -
I'm new here and have been reading the posts about swine flu, but they are pretty much old ones. We are due arrive at Disney via car on June 6th and I am stressing every day if we should go or not. I've been following the swine flu updates and one day it sounds like it's just about over then the next day they report something bad. Ugh! I know the regular flu affects way more people than this has and many more deaths occur from it. But I want to do the right thing for my kids! And I don't want to go there and be a total germ-a-phob and not enjoy the trip!!

What does everyone think? Are you all still going? Canceling? Can somewhere who is there now or who just got back shed some light on how things are going down there? I can't find one single site with any info about disney and the swine flu.

HELP!!!

Go and have a good time. Say hello to Mickey and Minnie for us. We'll see them on June 29th can't wait.

Dont be worried. You have just as much of chance of getting it at your local grocery store. Also, the swine flu is not that bad unless you have underlying medical conditions (just like with any other flu) Just wash your hands alot if you have any concerns. Have a great trip and DONT WORRY.
ps... i work in healthcare and we are not concerned with this flu at all.:thumbsup2

The kids, if healthy now, will not have any problems. If you're concerned, bring a hand washing lotion that's anti-bacterial and use it often. We've been down there for the last 6 years and we have more problems with the hunidity and heat than anything else.:thumbsup2
