Still waiting...

I'm really desparate for mine. Ben Sheppard is broken!!! :sad2:

ps. Why do they never show Disney programmes on any of the travel channels???? :confused3

I don't know why they do not show Florida as much now on the travel shows, I am sad and have a collection of bits from Holiday, Wish You Were Here etc which I have added to over the years, including our very own Simon V.

I still have the Ben Shepherd one, ...I haven't watched it for a long time though.

mines been on order nearly four weeks still isnt here arnt holding out much hope now

We ordered one in the New Year and it came within 10 days....it has Ben Sheppard doing the intro's at the very start.

There are four young American 20 somethings showing you round the parks, one of which keeps taking a nap, a very smiley girl, and 2 go getting blokes ...so judge for yourselves if its a new one.

It shows the Parks, DTD, and the resorts....my only disappointment was it has no mention, or pictures, of the Disney Cruise ships at all.

Mine came after about 3 weeks. It was ordered well before Christmas.

I would go in and order one again. Say that you are planning on booking a holiday later this year. Then one comes. The first time i ordered one I said I had already booked the holiday and nothing arrived. So I tried again and said I was planning a holiday and low and behold a DVD arrived a few weeks later.

There are loads of extra bits on it this time.

The cruise ships are there. You have to keep going through the "more buttons" You will find Disney land Paris, disney cruise, disney vero beach disney trivia games.

Enjoy!

How bizarre!

Mine was ordered at roughly the same time but sounds like a different DVD. Mine certainly has the DCL on it anyway.

Ours has a smiley girl (Erin), a lady who shows the "family" attractions, a teen who goes on all the fast rides and Dave (??) who shows you all the park benches :rotfl2: I've not found Ben Shephard yet (though I've been told he is in the ticket section) but I definitely haven;t seen him in the introduction. We have watched it quite a few times already

Ive ordered 3 in about the last 6-7 weeks and I havent recieved any!! :confused3 It sounds like a lucky dip as to which one you get!!

I don't blame you. I just love those planning DVDs, I'm always watching my old ones! :teeth:

Hi Verity

Tried to PM you but got a message saying your inbox is full.

Did you get any good quotes?

If you have a fast internet connection you can download dozens of US Travel Channel shows about the Disney parks off IRC, go to #Disney-Central.

Queenie, I wonder if you would mind translating this a bit - complete technophobe here! What is IRC, and what website can I download from??

Thanks very much :sunny:

Finally got mine yesterday, it sounds like the same one that Karen has, didn't like it as much as the Ben Sheppeard one though as it just seems to jump from attraction to attraction and doesn't really concentrate on anything much.
The dvd set that Tron sent out on the community board is much better.

Hi finally a dvd has come through. :thumbsup2

One thing though, I ordered one ( in my name) and waited four weeks or so -nothing :confused3

Then I registered DH on disney site and ordered one through him -After 3 weeks it is his that has come through!

I am wondering if this was because he was newly registered to the website :scratchin .

Dont say they have cottoned on that I have got every dvd and before that video from about 1998!!

Oh well just off to do some nice warm porridge and then while i'm warming my insides on this cold morning I can watch florida and get even more excited about July

Well Im glad yours has come but I wish mine would hurry up!!! I have wondered whether it was anything to do with having a dvd every year and maybe I am blacklisted! I ordered one in dh name as well about 3 weeks ago so hopefully maybe that one will turn up soon!

Enjoy watching, Im not jealous......much! :rolleyes1

I orded one from the first choice website and it came in just over a week.

Mine came today - it took about 3 weeks. Not Ben Shepherd but the 4 Americans. But I'm confused as they seem to be pushing the Happiest Celebration which I thought was just for 2005. I was glad to get it as I need a Disney fix as we're not planning on going back for a couple of years.

It's several weeks since I ordered mine - to be honest I have kind of lost interest now, not that bothered whether it comes or not.

It's here!!! Is it sad that when I saw it on the mat I actually grabbed it and ran into the living room shouting "it's here, it's here, it's here!!"?

Screw studying physics this afternoon - I'm set!!

It's not sad no - however, by the time mine arrives (if it does) I suspect my reaction will probably be one of surprise!!

I can picture you running around in excitement though. ;)

Hmm well the excitement didn't last long! The DVD is actually last year's planning DVD that went out to the American market, it's exactly the same - even the special features. The only bit that has been added in is one short feature hosted by Ben which discusses the UK only tickets (14 day ultimate etc) - this is why it all seems to be referring to 2005, that's when it was produced for.
