STILL waiting for points to post to acct

Our deed was recorded on 4/10 and now we are 16 days out and I have called MS and accounting daily and no one can view any info.

I am starting to despair. Kids think we are going in September and now I think this will need to be pushed to October due timing but with F&W I am fearful there will be no rooms available.

I don't mind splitting stay but don't want to move resorts more than once. I am trying to think of back up plans and perhaps I should book a cash reservation? Does anyone know if I book a cash ressie without a member ID#, will MS extend me that DVC room discount when I finally get my #?

Do you think I should book a cash reservation? Any other ideas or advice? If I book a cash ressie, then at least I could start reserving dining, etc...

I wish this member # would show up!

You would have to go through cro to book a cash reservation since you don't have a member number. They can't transfer the reservation to use your points after the fact. The only time they could do that is if your a first time dvc member and buy direct. They get you a room somehow as a one time curiosity. I had done this when we originally bought in at Hilton head and July fourth was booked up when I bought in May buy they somehow got me the two bedroom for that week.

I wonder if they could link my cash ressie? For example: few days of points and few of cash so I could fill gaps in if those days are not all avail under DVC due delay in member ID#?

Has ANYONE has a wait time this long or longer also?

Even if it is another week or 2 before you get your number (which it could be based on reports) you should be able to get a room at SSR in September. If you try for Columbus Day in October you may not find any rooms available but outside of that you should be able to at least split between AKV and SSR if you can't get a full reservation at one of them. It may not be your home or choice of resorts but it will be a place to stay and you have to think about the years of your membership not just the first reservation.

September is one of the least crowded times for DVC until the food and wine starts at least and even then the big resorts usually have room until a cew months out.I actually know I have a 2 night stay at BLT that I am probably going to cancel but I don't know for about another 2-4 weeks. So people have things booked and cancel all the time so you never know what you may find. I was looking at adding a day to our July trip and found that 2 resorts still have rooms open now (Kidani and SSR).

Just repeating what others have said - you'll get your points soon and will have several choices for a September vacation. Only the last weekend (start of F&W Festival) will be limited, but even that weekend will have openings.

I know it is hard to wait, but try not to make yourself crazy with worrying.

Update: called Monday and MS can now view points loaded! 19 days. I will call today to see if another MS rep may give me info over phone. Woot! So excited. Deed recorded on 4/10. There is no doubt that the wait is tough but finally the light at the end of the tunnel is shining, lol
