Still servicing staterooms 2X a day?

We just got off Oasis where the rooms are only serviced once a day. We did not miss the extra service. The attendant did often come in in the evening to leave hand outs.

We were on the Wish in September, and DCL still had the two times a day serv.

This is from my experience on the magic for the wbpc.

1st cleaning
- regular hotel style cleaning, I.e. trash taken out, towel replacement, bathroom and room cleaned, bed remade (I’m assuming the sheets were changed at some point with the 14 night cruise but not sure which days that was on) , etc.

2nd cleaning
- turn down service w/ towel animal
- towels replenished if used
- trash taken out (most days, not all)

I think sheets are changed every third or fourth day.

One thing the stateroom host can also do for you is get you an ice bucket that will be refreshed every morning and evening. We really love that.

EVEN if you hang them up. I almost always hang up my towels because I don't NEED new ones every single use - and the hanger DCL has in their cabins indicates that you rehang your towels to indicate you don't need them changed. But they ALWAYS change them. It's kind of annoying when you are doing what they say to indicate "No thanks, I'm good." with them.

On my most recent cruise on board the Wonder, I finally got a stateroom host that didn't change the towels when we put them on the bars to dry. On every other cruise, the host always changed the towels, no matter what I did.

Agreed. I always hang my towels back up in hotels and on cruises, as I personally don't need fresh ones every day. And yes, minorly annoyed that when I did this on DCL they still gave me fresh ones. It was nice, of course, but I was trying to save water (like the sign says).

I think next time I might try to catch my stateroom host and mention it up front. I know they have a lot of rooms and might not remember, so it's fine if they don't, but it's worth a shot, at least.

Well we like the towels changed out since they are all white , yes we could hang them where we know who is who but with three other ones hanging really no room .

We do pay for this service over all. So don’t feel bad. At home I re hang here I’m on holidays and really not worried about it. Plus I love going in and seeing my towel animals and chocolates. I bring the chocolate home with me.
