Still Sassy after all this time!

Hi Sassies! Just bumping us up from oblivian. The boys have their first swim meet of the summer season tonight. We were without power for a bit last weekend due to the nasty storms that rolled through, there was even a tornado about a mile from our house.

Have a good one!

Thanks for the bump up Becca. Tornado's scare me and having one only a mile from my house would do me in. Thank goodness you all were safe. Good luck to the boys with their swim meet tonight. Are they a little nervous for the first one?

I'm taking Gracie to the Vet this morning for her yearly shots. That means she will come home a sleep the day away. Kendall and Colin also have Dr's appointments too this afternoon. Kendall needs her annual physical for cheerleading and since I was going Colin will just get a check up.

Have a great day in Sassyland.

This morning I got a call from Kendall's cheer coach. It was only about an hour after I dropped her off for practice but when I see the name on the caller ID I'm thinking something happened to her. She's a flyer and I'm always praying that they don't drop her. Anyway, the first words out of the coach's mouth is that Kendall isn't hurt. Then I can breathe, and she tells me they are going to announce that Kendall has been picked to be the Captain of the squad for next year. She wanted to take her out to lunch so that was the reason for the call. I sent Kelsie to the grocery to pick up a cake and I went in the other direction to get some balloons. I'm just so proud and I knew how bad she really wanted this. When Kendall got home you couldn't wipe the smile off her face.

Congratulations Kendall!!! How exciting for her!

Happy Friday Sassies! Judi we need a picture.

I'm taking the kids to the Aquarium today. They have a really nice one in New Orleans that we just don't make it to often enough. It's been several years since our last visit so we're heading back there today.

Oh Sassies...................come out and play.

Hi Sarah it's been a long time since we've chatted. How are you doing? How's the horses? Fill us in and come back and chat with us.

Hey, Sassies! I have been an absent Sassy lately. It's been crazy around here - 7 swim meets in 10 days and I am beat. Plus, it looks like Wally has giardia AGAIN and so he needed to go out every half hour from midnight until about 8 am today. I sent DH to do the swim meet thing with Barney so I could take Wally to the emergency vet and get him started on antibiotics and maybe we could sleep tonight. Sheesh!

Congratulations to Kendall! That's so exciting! You should be a proud mama, Tricia. How was the aquarium?

Becca - how did the boy's meet go? What did they get to swim?

Angie - where are you? I miss seeing you on the thread, lady!

Hi, Sarah! Long time no post! What's up in Sarah world?

Hi Bonnie, Judi, Shannon, Julie et al! Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Good morning everyone. Greetings from hot & sweaty AZ. The monsoon is starting, and now we get humidity plus heat-yay! :scared:

You all sound so busy with summer activities-glad you're having fun time with your kids!! :thumbsup2

What are your plans for the 4th? We aren't doing anything except the MIL invited herself over for steaks on Saturday. I will be having a nice chicken breast instead since I am trying to get back on the diet. I get Friday off and decided to take Monday off, too, just because I need a break!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!!

Good Morning Sassies.

The Aquarium was fun espically since it's been quite a few years since we've been there. One of the best parts was that it was an indoor activity with cool air.

I have to go to Colin's school today to pick up his new sweatshirts for next year. It's hard to even think of that when it's 98 degrees outside.

I don't think we really have anything special planned for the 4th. I guess Mark will just throw something on the grill and that will be our party. We do always go to the lake front and watch the fireworks that night.

So what's up with all the Sassies being MIA? I hope you are all out and about enjoying your summer.

Sorry I've been MIA. Life has been absolutely crazy, then again, when hasn't it been when I moved here to GA?

Work keeps piling on me aka less DIS time in general.

I went to a braves/red sox game on Sunday. Despite my team losing, I still had a lot of fun and didn't get too burnt.

IPO got me all my ADRs for my Sept Vacation so I'm happy about that.

Need to figure out what I'm doing 4th of July - hopefully being lazy for once.

Seems like everyone is keeping busy this summer also. Congrats to Kendall on making Captain! Hope all is going well for everyone :)

Hey there, Sassies! :wave2: I have missed you! How is everyone?

As some of you know from Facebook, Joe and I broke up. It was difficult but there are some things I just can't let slide, man!

But I have been meeting some other fellas online, and have been chatting with a few for a while now. Sucky thing is that all the ones I really click with live far away. The one I currently like the most lives in NC and is going to drive up this weekend so we can meet for the first time! I'm kinda nervous. But we talk on the phone like three times a day and we chat late at night on yahoo messenger also. We laugh and laugh and laugh. So I know that at the very least we are guaranteed to have a blast as friends, and that's good enough for me. Although I do really hope there is a connection!

Anybody around?

Hello my Sassy friends!!!

Sorry to have been so MIA, but things are nuts right now. After numerous screw-ups and balls being dropped by our bank, I THINK we move in tomorrow. Riley's 5th birthday was yesterday (my parents were here, in a hotel, for the past few days) and Reece's birthday is the 4th. Ryan's Dad & step-mom arrive tomorrow afternoon to help us move furniture from storage.

Tomorrow may be one of the most hectic, jam-packed, physically & emotionally exhausting days of my life, but man am I excited!!!!!:woohoo:

Will be a while before I'll be back on the DIS, but I'll check facebook from my phone once in a while.

Love you all & miss you!!!!

Becca, are you at the pool? Wish I was!

Tricia, congrats to Kendall! That is fantastic news!:cheer2:

Wilma, I hope Wally recovers ASAP. With all of those early mornings you have ahead of you, I know you need your sleep!

Angus, I'm surprised you didn't say you were grilling up a few MIL steaks on the 4th.:rolleyes1 Hopefully you can do a few cannonballs into the pool to keep the heat at bay.

Meli-- I hope work slows down a bit so you can enjoy your first summer in the new house.

Toots-- sorry about Joe, but good to know you're going to keep on truckin'!

Hi everyone else, and hello Sarah!

Hi Sassies.

Just a quick check in and hello because we are off to visit another college this morning. I have to wake the kids very shortly and be on the road in a little over an hour.

Shannon good luck on your move today.

Well yesterday we visited UL (University of Louisiana) and Kelsie just fell in love with that campus. The dorms on the other hand are not very nice and are in dire need of an over haul. They still have hall baths which I had at LSU but that was a really long time ago. They have an on campus apartment type place which is very nice and very expensive (about $1200.00 more per semester than a dorm). Now she's making up pros and cons of the two places we've visited so far. I think we are going to schedule Southern Miss next.

Hi Sassies! Just a quick drive by. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We had lots of fun and the kids are very tired from the loooooong nights!

Lots to catch up on today since we were gone all weekend.

Have a great day!:yay:

Another quick post... Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! We did. Grueling, but so fun! I don't think I've ever been this exhausted. Even the soles of my feet are bruised. But, we love, love, LOVE the house! And our new neighbors are awesome!

Hope all is well with everyone! Things should settle down in the next week, as we get all of our list accomplished. DMV, registering kids for school, pool passes & library cards, etc...

Later Sassies! Love you all!!!
