Still Sassy after all this time!

I'd really like to see a pineapple get funky, but only from a safe distance. Those spikes could put out an eye!

Thanks for correcting your spelling of pomegranate Wilma. I'm sure someone informed the League of Tropical Fruit Spellers of your infraction. The ticket is in the mail. Good luck on your matzo ball endeavor. I am the WRONG lady to be giving out culinary advice. I burn pop tarts.:sad2:

Bex-- You'll be happy to note that either the loogies were washed off, or, they have been stained to match the rest of the deck, thereby rendering them invisible. And yup, Ryan has a hellacious commute, which has been tough on all of us. He is a grumpy grizzly for about 1.5 hrs after returning home, which means he returns to human about the time the boys go to bed. Hard to blame the man since he's out the door at 5:30/6:00, and not home until 7/7:30 every night. We'll all be happy to have him back!

QOTD - do you think any other fruits could dance as well as this banana? My money is on the pomegranet. Did I spell that right? Anyway, it seems like a fruit that can move and groove. What do you think?

It looks like these guys are ready to party. :lmao:

How about an Ugli fruit? Do you think anyone would dance with an Ugli fruit, or would it sit alone by a wall, drinking punch? Perhaps it could dance with an Eggplant. That aubergine color is mighty sexy!

I seem to remember that I have a "Get Out of a Tropical Fruit Spellers Ticket for Free" card lying around here somewhere. Maybe I stuck it in the freezer for safekeeping. I hope it doesn't have an expiration date; those tickets can be pricey!

So you know I had to google Ugli fruit to see what is was. :lmao:UGLI® is the registered trade mark under which Cabel Hall Citrus Ltd. markets its brand of tangelos from Jamaica.

Who knew that I eat them all the time? :confused3 See, the educational DIS strikes again. :thumbsup2 Thanks Wilma.

Mel - we tried to get BLT for a few days in October flanking our cruise but no luck. Of course, we were trying for a studio and those are often hard to come by. Good luck!:)

Good Morning Sassies! :wave2:

Judi thanks for the eye candy. Sure way to get the morning started.

Kelsie rented Twlight yesterday. I wasn't home when she watched it and it's due back today. I think as soon as the other two go to school I'll pop it in. I haven't read the book and pretty much only know that the movie is about vampires.

We'll see if I like it as much as the teens/tweens. :confused3

Tricia - I am reading Twilight now, a little late to the Sassy Twilight party I know but what can I say. My book club chose it for this month and so I am giving it a try. It's pretty good! Mr. FofP read it a few months ago and watched the movie last week but I did not watch the movie because I thought it might ruin the book for me. Let me know what you think!

The boys and I are going to have lunch with my mom, and then I have to tackle the matzo ball problem. Have a great day, ladies!

Hi Sassies! The sun is shining and its cold, but at least it feels more like spring when I'm inside.

Tricia, don't hold the movie against the book. I was very disappointed in the movie, but love the books.

Wilma, have fun at lunch and I hope you figure out your matzo ball dilemma.

I did like the movie. Maybe because I didn't read the book so I have nothing to compare it to. Are they filmimg the second book yet? How many are in this series?

They are filming the second one now, there are 4 books in the series.

I took the boys to the zoo today, and was so excited to see the baby gorilla (a girl) and the baby ant eater (sex to be determined in a few weeks, according to the keeper.)

I'd show pictures, but my battery died.:headache: No one has ever accused me of being prepared! We got to see the mother gorilla breast feeding, and I have to say, it was astounding how much her care of the baby mirrors that of a human mom. Well, except for the picking/eating of bugs from her baby's head. That was kind of repulsive! I let my boys eat their own bugs, naturally!

Wilma--You know, I've never had an Ugli fruit. If I can get over my genetically engineered fruit heebie-jeebies, perhaps I'll give it a go. You have to love the name!

Hope you tracked down your ""Get Out of a Tropical Fruit Spellers Ticket for Free" card, because I hear they're really into bizarre corporal punishment these days. I'd hate to see you doused with honey & attacked by their army of Spelling Bees!

Judi-- Once again, THANK YOU THANK YOU for the hunky men pictures! Sometimes they are my only reminder that I am still a woman, not just a launderess, homework helper, and lost toy finder!

Tricia-- You should read the books. I must say, I don't find them to be the literary masterpieces a lot of people claim them to be, but they were entertaining. Well, except for the last one. That one (IMHO) stunk to the high heavens.

Bex-- I wasn't a fan of the movie when I saw it in the theater, but I rented it & the 2nd viewing wasn't nearly as bad. I think I had too much empathy for all of the men dragged to the theater to truly enjoy it the 1st time. My husband would probably prefer a root canal over a screening of Twilight.

Good Morning

Rise & Shine and have a lovely day. :goodvibes

Good morning, Sassies! Anyone for a matzo ball? We have several extra. I must say, they turned out rather well. Nice and fluffy, no rock hard atomic matzo balls for me. Thanks for the Passover wishes, Judi!

Shannon, I am still looking for the card. I think Wally ate it, along with his weekly roll of toilet paper. He'd probably never notice a small card like that, or see any use for it, as he has no need for spelling.:guilty: Oh, and I agree with you on the bugs front. Any self respecting boy needs to learn how to pick their own bugs, no matter what the gorillas might say. Your boy's wives will thank you in the end, when they do not have that burdensome chore.

What's with the cold, yucky weather? Has anyone informed the man upstairs that it is spring, and therefore we are entitled to warm days with the scent of hyacinth abounding? And what's with all of this rain? It's supposed to rain five of seven days next week. Becca, you need to do something about this. If you can get the powers that be to start making Alpha Bits again, then surely you can talk God out of all of this rain.

Angie - How is your mother in law? Maybe you should offer her a margarita if she becomes annoying. Or, better yet, offer yourself one!:goodvibes

Hi Tricia, Julie, Kimmy! Hugs, Bonnie!

Good morning :)

Wally loves the toliet paper too? I swear my dogs wait for me to leave thebathroom door open by mistake so they can grap it then come show me what they got so proud of it :)

Morning Sassies!

I'll be heading over to Colin's school today for his Easter Party. :ssst: Don't tell anyone but I just made my kids Easter Baskets. I pulled out all the stuff I bought and wasn't sure if I had enough. I said oh what the heck I'll just make them so I can really see. Good news I had enough.:thumbsup2 I did hide them just because but my kids know so it won't be the end of the world if they find them.
