Congrats to Aunt Becca!! What a wonderful tribute to your mom!! I like the name Lucy-it just seems happy! Yes, property values have plunged here. You never know how desperate someone is to sell-builder's spec homes and bank owned properties can go for pennies on the dollar. And that is what is bringing all the rest of our values down. It's pretty sad.


I was not arrested for assault & battery-I was able to contain myself. Gertie just has the strangest things happen to her (infections, colds, weird ailments) and she feels the need to share all the disgusting details with me. I just don't want to hear these things! And I have to share a bathroom with this person! Enough said...

I see we had a Bonnie and a Wilma sighting!! You ladies need to stop by more often. I have been bad and not wearing my headband for fear that Gertie will jump me and rip it off my head. She is going to DL in June with her BFF, and I know she covets my headband cuz she wants to wear it there!

Mel, are you living in the house you are buying? Were you able to rent it first?

Angie, carry a small lysol spray and use it whenever Gertie starts speaking of her ailments. Just say you are making sure you stay healthy. Maybe that will get her to stop without resorting to violence! And keep that fancy shmancy head gear away from her, you certainly don't need her cooties on such a fabulous garment!

Yes! We did a lease to own type thing on the house. With us moving to the area, we wanted to be sure we liked the part of town we lived in and it turns out I made a wonderful decision on the house and location in the whirlwind 36 hour trip I made down here to find us a place to live 2 weeks before we moved here.

I have rain to look forward to for the next four days. Fun times ahead of me.

I'm on the lookout

for a nice little silver purse for Kelsie to have for the prom which is in two weeks. Her dress is pink with some silver beading and silver shoes so a silver purse is a must. I'll be on a hunt for one today.

Scored a silver purse at Penney's. Thank goodness because I've been to about six places today and Penney's was the only place that had one. I hope Kelsie likes it because it's this one or nothing.

Oh, pick me! She says with her hand raised high in the air while trying not to fall out of her chair. I have to go buy some soda since I banished it from the house. Does it have to be a fresh raisin or will a stale raisin work?

I do have a partially used bag of raisins! I don't eat them, poor shriveled up grapes. All their dignity suck out by a dehydrator. Who wants to be all wrinkly? Certainly not I!

Wilma, what kind of law does your DH practice? Does he by chance know about family law? I have some questions and do not know where to begin! I can't afford an attorney and legal aid does not help with uncontested divorces.

Hey Bonnie!! Wilma told me her DH is a corporate lawyer for insurance companies-something like that. Anyway, I don't think he would be much help. Check with your state and county bar associations-I know there are low cost programs out there. Legal aid didn't have any suggestions?

Yeah, the air bubbles adhere to the raisins and carry them to the top, then the bubbles pop when reaching the surface, so the raisins drop back down to the bottom again.

Legal aid just told me they dont deal wtih uncontested divorces. They said i needed to file a seperation agreement, but I have no idea where to get one!
