It looks like Disney is in the air. Squid the list maker in me would be scurrying around making a quick list of things I need and want to do. I know you were just there but that's how I roll.

Good Morning Sassies! I missed you all yesterday. My normal DISing time is in the morning while the kids are still sleeping but yesterday Mark was home. After me running some errands he took me to lunch at Longhorn Steak House. Yummy seven pepper steak salad was what we both got. Anyway by the time we got home it was almost time for the kids to come home from school so my DISing got put on the backburner.

I see that Heinz ketchup seems like it's the sassies choice. That got me wondering just how much of a food snob am I? Some things I buy store brands because it just doesn't matter to me while other things I'll only buy the name brand. So.............here's a question of the day for you. What name brand things will you only buy? For me it's obviously ketchup, Chips Ahoy and Oreo cookies, Jif peanut butter, Simply Orange (pulp free) orange juice, International Delights liquid creamer and Valsic pickles. I'm sure there are more and I'll update my list as I think of them.

Where's Judi? I missed my hunk day pictures.

Happy Haircut Thursday Sassies! Its our haircut party today and then the women get to go to the salon for some much needed color. My grays are rearing their ugly heads.

I didn't think I was a name brand snob until the question was posed. Ketchup of course has to be Heinz, Ranch has to be Hidden Valley, but not premade it has to be the powder I mix myself, Cheezits can't be store brand, Coke can't be store brand, Orange Juice must be Minute Maid homestyle, Club Crackers must be Keebler, I could go on but I won't because my freak flag may ease up the flag pole if I do.

Brand name mania? Definitely pickles. It's Claussen or nothing. Ketchup, oreos, soda, any kind of snack crackers, are also brand name or nothing. Salad dressing must be Ken's or Newman's - who knew that men could make such good salad dressing? And peanut butter must be name brand but I am not too picky about which kind. Is my freak flag raised?

Good morning, ladies! I am scrambling to get my narratives written for conferences. There just aren't enough hours in the day! I am looking forward to a weekend sans swim meet, although I will probably end up writing my narratives then and listening to Mr. FoP do the taxes (complete with a full line of expletives!).

Oh they'll be shaking a finger at her allright... A very "special" finger. And I believe those turkey legs will be cold, greeeeezy, and slightly gnawed upon.

I used to be snobbier about groceries, but once we got a Wegman's... I'm telling you-- that store is the best! Everytime I buy their store brand, I'm amazed at the quality. I was a total Claussen pickle snob, but they have their brand right next to the Claussens, and I'm telling you, 1.50 less and you cannot tell the difference! Still will only buy Coke products though. And Method cleaning products/detergent.

Yes, I am a brand name snob. Land 'O Lakes butter, Orville Redenbocker popcorn (airpopped only), Breyer's, Ben & Jerry's or Haagen-dazs ice cream, brand name chips, Charmin, Bounty, Tide, Bounce, Dawn...I'm sure there are more, but I don't wanna freak you out too much!!

QOTD - I'm just a big brand name snob for everything. Sargento shredded cheese, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Boar's Head Deli Meats, Tyson Popcorn Chicken (for the big kid), Purdue Raw Chicken, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, Cheez-Its, Club Crackers, Orvil Popcorn, Smartfood White Chedder Popcorn, Name brand candy, Tide, Cascade, Gillette Products, Charmin, Bounty and I could go on and on.

Basically the only things I don't do name brand but buy Publix brand (which is well higher quality than many of the other store brands I have had) are certain sodas, milk, pasta.

Good morning sassies!

My kids are off of school today because it's the end of the third nine weeks already. Teachers have to turn their grades in and report cards come home next week. Summer will be here before you know it.

Kendall has a cheer competition this weekend. We are leaving around lunch time today and will spend the weekend will lots of overly excited 12 to 14 year olds. They had what they call a "show off" on Wednesday night for all the parents, grandparents, friends etc. at the school and I just about died when I saw how high they threw Kendall up in the air for a basket toss without any mats on the floor. She is so excited and of course I'm excited for her.

As part two of yesterday's QOTD I thought I'd ask the opposite of the name brands question. What store brand things do you buy most often?
I always buy store brand milk, some ceraels, Pop Tarts (the girls only eat the Pop Tart brand but Colin only likes the store brand) paper plates unless it's for a party than I get the sassy ones, tomato sauce and paste, and pasta. I'm sure there are plenty more but that's what comes to mind for now.
