Still Sassy after all this time!

Hola Squid

kind of nut, errr, errrr, think about it

Ack! My eyes! I'm not used to seeing happy faces! ;)

Oh no - I killed the thread! I apologize everyone! Happy Saturday.

Cornuts - Do they count?

Good Saturday morning, all! Today is our last puppy class.:guilty: . Next, we have to move on to obedience classes, and there is no free playtime in those. Bummer for Wally.

I'm planning chicken parmagiana for dinner. Anyone else cooking today?

Do any of you watch Animal Planet at all? And, if so, are the "Dark Days in Monkey City" commercials freaking you out as much as they are me?:scared1:

Have a great day, ladies!

Good afternoon sassies!

Kendall and I did a little shopping this morning, went to my niece's soccer game then came home and are chilling until we go out to dinner later

tonight. Mark and Colin have been practicing for baseball

because next saturday is the draft for the spring league.

Wilma is Wally a good student?

So what's happening today in sassy land? Where is everyone? :confused3

Tricia, Wally is a good, but chatty, student. Much like my kids, so he fits right in with the family. He usually has to be excused to the outside porch at least once per class for excessive chattiness. Anyway, he's learned all of his basic obedience skills and lots of playskills. He would prefer it if every puppy that he encountered enjoyed being divebombed as an invitation to play, but that is not the case so he has had to figure out some new ways to ask for their attention!;)

Chicken parmagiana is on hold - Mr. FoP wants to go out to dinner. Where are you all going?

Good luck to Colin with the draft! What position does he usually play?

Wilma,
Sounds like Wally and Atlas would be quite chummy. When Atlas was in school, they had to keep giving him rawhide bones slathered in peanut butter to keep him "attentive"....

We just ate. We had Fake Crab fried in butter with baked potatoes. Yummy.

It was a rough afternoon. I went to a funeral for a colleague's 3 year old son. He died in his sleep. No word yet on the cause... :sad1:

He plays catcher and second base. Mark grew up playing catcher and played all through college. I'm sure it makes him happy that Colin is following in his footsteps. It is rather hot in the summer with all that extra gear on but Colin likes to be in on the action.

Oh Julie I'm so sorry. Death is never easy but in the case of a child it makes it even worse. My thoughts and prayers go out to that family.

KOLA NUTS (if you're feeling exotic)

Julie-- I'm so sad to hear about the loss of your friends' son. Just awful.:sad1: :sad1:

Wilma-- Sounds like Wally isn't your baby anymore! They grow so quickly, don't they?;)

Have any of you ever been to Moe's? I had my book club meeting there Friday, had the best fish tacos. I've never been there before, and about peed my pants when I walked in and the workers all screamed "WELCOME TO MOE'S!!!"

Gotta run & attend to my chicken stir-fry, but wanted to pop in & say hi.

Will be re-grouting the tile in my kitchen for the next few days... Definitely eating out!

Good Morning Sassies!

Shannon Moe's sounds like a fun place. Did you holler back at them? We have a Moe's about twenty minutes from me but I've never been there before. I've always wanted to try a fish taco because I've seen Rachael Ray eat them on several occasions on one of her Weekend getaway shoes. They did look rather tasty. I don't think I've ever had one before so I must put that on my to-do list.

Morning sassies!

I love Moe's. I don't know if I have any around here but I used to go to them alot in all my previous cities I lived in.

Hi Sassys! I'm home from work today.

We FINALLY got our snow! The girls are thrilled. A snow day! Man, it was snowing hard!

I am waiting for the snowplow to get here cause i need to go to the doctor.

***WARNING: WHINING AHEAD. Skip this part if you don't want to hear it***

I have Strep. It's been going around my classroom, and it is MIGHTY contagious! My assistant has it too. I have never had it before and I thought it would be different. I thought the fever and the throat part would be the worst. I was not prepared for the headache, the worst body aches ever, the painful glands on the sides of my neck, and I never knew there was so much puking involved! I have hardly left my bed in two days. I seriously hope my girls do not get it!

****Okay, whining over! ***

The snow outside is beautiful though, and I love being home on a day like this. Have a great day, Sassies!

P.S. Never heard of Moe's. Where is it, Shannon?

Bonnie is this the first snow of the year for you?

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I've never had Strep either. I had no idea you get all those other symptoms with it. It sort of sounds like the flu. I hope staying in bed and DISing all day will make you feel a little better. :flower3:

Feel better, Bonnie. Strep stinks! I get it ALOT.

Thanks, Kimmy. That sucks that you get it so much! Wonder why some people get it a lot and some people have never had it before?

Thanks Tricia! It's like our second snow of the year...that actually stuck. This is the deepest one though. And it's still coming down.

Strep is different than the flu in that there is no runny/stuffy nose or cough. And the throat thing is really weird. I got these dry white patches that taste icky, and it is really hard to swallow. And the body aches can get really painful. I've never felt so sick. But I have to say that I feel a little better today than I did the last couple days.

Good morning, Sassies! We have SNOW!   I am so excited - we haven't had a decent sledding snow in years. Wally is quite confused!

Bonnie - Yuck, strep! I know you must feel awful! It is the most contagious thing, I dread when it comes around my classroom. Take good care of yourself, and take ALL of your antibiotics (I just put on my nurse's cap so I could give you sound advice;) ). When I was a young, impulsive thing I once lied to my mom about having taken all of my antibiotics during a case of strep and ended up with rheumatic fever. I don't want that to happen to you!

Shannon - peeing in your pants in a restaurant is definitely not the way to go. What does Moe's serve? Do they offer changes of underwear in the bathroom for unsuspecting, middle aged women who may have an unpleasant reaction to the greeting ritual?

Hi Judi, Becca, Angie, Kimmy and Mel! Have a great day, ya'll!
