Still Sassy after all this time!

Good Morning Sassies.

Today is my baby's birthday. I can't believe that Colin is 9 already. I don't even have all of the boxes and gift bags put away from Christmas and here we go again. Very poor planning on my part nine years and nine months ago. I think I always feel bad for him having a birthday to close to Christmas but it's all he's ever known and he doesn't seem to mind.

Kimmy I hope you enjoy your day off tomorrow. You sure do seem to work a lot. You deserve the break.

Judi since you are having a heat wave you might enjoy this little tid bit of information. Our Old Navy and Target stores all have their bathing suits out already. Come on people it's December. :confused3

Good Morning, Tricia.
Happy Birthday, Colin.
My birthday is 12/31, I hated it as a child, but grew to like it as an adult (the whole world parties with me)

Bathing suits?!? REALLY??

Good morning Sassies! We are having thunderstorms and lots of fog this moning. I'm afraid there will be lots of flooding this weekend.

Tricia, our Target even has bathing suits out already. I was looking for sweatshirts!

Kimmy, you deserve a day off. I'm not sure the bosses would agree with that though, just tell them I said so.

Judi, I hope you are anchored down so you don't float away in the lake! Grab onto that chainsaw carved bear, he'll hold you in place!

Tricia, Chocolate cake please :teeth:

Kimmy, have a nice day off work.

5:50PM and 50 degrees, but it sure doesn't feel like it.:upsidedow

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas.

Bex-- LOVE the Chetmas decorations. Simply deerlightful! Did the ice melt in time to go to the Melting Pot?

Wilma- I will keep your friend's husband in my prayers. What an awful thing to go through, but especially during the holidays.:sad2: On a lighter note-- You excited for the meet yet? I am!!! Calling about Magical Express tomorrow, as I haven't gotten anything yet.

Judi-- I am waiting on pictures of your magical snow & ice sculptures. I'm thinking life-sized Elvis? Pre-jelly donut Elvis!

Tricia-- Happy belated bday to Colin! Hope it was a great one. And bathing suits? Seriously? I'm about 5 dozen Christmas cookies away from even THINKING about a bathing suit!!!

Kimmy--- I KNOW you're still at work. Go home. Do not pass go. Feel free to collect $200. If you need help staying awake, I'll sing for you!!! (On second thought, my singing may cause an intense desire to drive straight into the nearest tree. )

Bonnie, how'd the Boxing go? You'd better wear your new Championship belt to lunch.

Hi Angie, Mel, Squid, Rells, Julie, & everyone else!

Bonnie, how'd the Boxing go?

I knocked her out!!!!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Becca - Chet looked lovely and I love the postings on Bon's wall on FB! She is a lizard lover!

Hi Shanaynay!

Good Monday Morning. Slow weekend around here.

I was off yesterday, thank you all that care :rotfl:
Today starts another fun week!

Good Morning Sassies.

I heard that over 200,000 are without power in Michigan. Becca and Judi I hope you are both ok.

I think today all my Christmas decorations will come down. I so enjoy having everything up early but when Christmas is over I don't like looking at a naked tree.

Good Morning, Tricia. I'm so with you! I'm ready to take down the decorations!

I totally forgot about the power outages, I hope you are all okay up there!!

Good morning Sassies! We have power, I hope Judi does too.

All of my decorations came down yesterday. I love having them up, but once Christmas is over I have a strong urge to put them away as soon as possible!

Shannon, the ice did melt in time to go the the Melting Pot fitting eh? Then I donated to St. Jude and received a $20 gift card in return. So I get to go back sometime soon! I love that place.

Squiddy, glad you enjoyed Chet's decorations. I may leave a little snipet of nonsense on your FB page too, you just never know.:rolleyes1 I left one on Shannon's and it didn't show up.:confused3 Hope you had a good Christmas!

Kimmy, my brothers bday is the 31st too. He also did not like it while he was a kid, but loves it now!

Tricia, did Colin get everything he wanted between Christmas and his birthday?

Judi, do you have power? I know that Mr. Judi would set up your computer for you even if you didn't so I hope you are well!

Wilma, do you have an update on your friends dh?

Jeni, how was camping?

Bonnie, stop painting lizards nails and start posting!

Hi Julie, Heather and everyone else!

Good Morning, Becca. Glad you were able to check in and HAVE power.

Judi, I hope you are not out canoeing somewhere!:scared:

Hey Sassies! I'm home from work...I feel icky. Plus there won't be many kids there this week. Good day for a sick day! I'm just watching TV and reading and sleeping. Good thing to...I'm kinda grouchity.

Becca, I agree, Chet looks fantastic! You know what comes next, right? Dangly snowflakes, a scarf and a hat, of course! Get crackin', lady!

Hope all you girls are staying warm!

Bonnie's retro don't ya know. :teeth:

I deleted my sub to the thread. Don't ask me, wrong click:confused3 Thanks for finding it Tricia ;)

Hey y'all! Another fine day here in D.C. Went to the Smithsonian Natural Hist. Museum to see new Ocean exhibit. Saw Imax Dinosaurs: The Giants of Patagonia. That was good, except upon exiting, when we had to climb over seats to the next aisle to avoid a huge pile of vomit. :scared: But hey, at least it wasn't a pantyliner in a public pool! (all about perspective, right?)

Then we popped over to National Gallery of Art to see the new Pompeii exhibit. That was really cool! Sort of a reconstructed look at what living in an Italian villa would be like, with the indoor courtyards & atriums, all the statues, mosaics, and art. I could've spent an hour or two in there, but 20 min was more culture than DH and the boys could handle.:rotfl:

Tricia-- Maybe Bonnie is suffering from Saturday Night Fever? Instead of antibiotics & vitamin C, she needs some platform boots and a Disco Ball!:dancer:

Sick Disco Girl-- Get better!!!

Bex-- Way to go on the donation "gift!" I was thinking... Since you are also surrounded by dudes and dudely stuff, I think you should dress Chet up in some feminine attire for a while. See if that doesn't freak Brian out!

Squid-- was it a REAL knockout, or a TKO? And was she wearing her boxing shorts at the appropriate "Empire waist?" Because that look is uber attractive yanno.

Kimmy-- I bet you were wishing your work would lose power!!! Fess up!

I'm suddenly in the mood for chocolate. I wonder why? :lmao:

Hi Judi I'm glad you found us again. How much snow did you get up in the mitten?

Christmas has officially left the building inside my house but when you walk outside it's still there. I think I will tackle that today after a grocery trip to Wally World.

Shannon do you go to DC often? I've only been once and it was just a stop over for two days. We really did try to cram everything or at least as much as possible into those two days but I'd love to go back for an entire week.

Good morning Sassies! I think my inner self is confused and thinks its spring because I could not stop cleaning like it was. The basement is not scrubbed, vaccuumed and rearranged. Apparently I had been neglecting it since I found a few spider carcasses behind the tv stand. We moved the wii downstairs so now its much more cozy for wii matches.

Judi, you deleted us?:sad1: Glad you are back, its just not the same without you and your delicious men!

Tricia, Brian took our outside stuff down on Saturday when it warmed up. We have to do it when it warms up or it may be there until spring. I have seen Halloween decorations stay up all winter in the UP.

Shannon, I want to go to all the Smithsonians. I have never been to DC, Brian has a lot since his dad worked for the government they went several times. Now that I have cousin who just moved their and some friends to visit, maybe I can convince him to go soon.

Bonnie, hope you are feeling better. Squiddy probably broke something loose in your moonrock when she knocked you out!

Hi Kimmy!:surfweb:

Squiddy, Jeni and everyone else have a super great day!

Hi Ladies!

Did everyone have a nice christmas? What is everyone doing for New Year's Eve?

I got some camping gear. Roger the kids and I went up to the Peace River for the weekend, we had a blast. I met his brother and sil. They like me :cool1: Roger's done for now. I've met the family. :rotfl:

The kids found a great rope swing from an old tree and we had a blast swinging into the river...although the water was like ice.
