Whoa, ladies - we became a jumbo thread and got ourselves shut down! I was thinking we should be Excellent Everythings, seeing as how we must have evolved from the last time we were closed down. But, no matter, here is our new home. What do you think about Danish modern as the decorating scheme? I am sure Chet would appreciate it, and maybe his doe too!

Weigh in here on your decorating ideas, and we shall be Sassy once again!

I'm usually last to find the new thread... I'm quite excited to be number T W O!!

Hey-I'm here!! Danish Modern, huh? Much better than Victorian. Victorian is way too stuffy for us wild and sassy 'things!!

I like the Excellent Everythings! :thumbsup2

Hey, hey! I'm here. I thought, aw, carp!!! CLOSED!....

Going to Friends' house for dinner tonight. I got a Boston Creme Pie and a cupcake cake decorated as a turkey saying "eat beef".... should be fun. My legs do NOT like these weather changes.

Well, I am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow and I sure hope I bust my tail cleaning this sty up!!

I made it to our new digs! I'm liking this danish modern theme, Chet sends his approval as well!

Posting and running, dh is taking me to see Twilight tonight. He does love me!

Hey hags! Thanks for telling me about our new thread! And may I add...I GOT THE LAST POST ON THE OLD THREAD! Yeee hawwww!! :cheer2:

Bex, make sure you tell me how you like Twilight, even if you have to text me, hag! Shannon and I don't get to go till Sunday, but at least we have our tickets purchased!!

Good morning, Kimmy!

I had hoped to be still sleeping, but "little" Atlas had enough of his crate because MrJulie was up...

Ok, the snow here was pretty and while we only have a covering, I have had enough of the cold and am ready for April....

Love Danish Modern! I'll contribute our first piece of furniture!

Can't believe we were jumbo already. (I think those cookies I ate last week pushed us over the edge. Sorry. )

I wish you northerners would stop talking about the "S" word so much-- it's highly offensive! And, I fear, making it's way below the Mason Dixon line.:sad2: Me no likey snow.

Sorry I've been MIA for the past few days. Had to "check" myself and the time I've been spending online! I've been non-stop playing w/ Riley the past few days. Lots of hot wheels, castle & pirate ship, jungle animals... It's a rough job, but someone has to do it!

Yesterday was interesting. Almost hit a deer right before turning onto my street. May not sound odd for most of you, but when you live 2 miles from one of the biggest Interstates in the country... A bit unexpected! Riley was so excited-- he thought it was a reindeer, and that Santa had been to our house. :confused3

Then... we were dancing around to the Polar Express soundtrack, when I excused myself for a quick potty break. A mere two minutes later, he knocks on the door crying, "Mommy! Something is stuck in my nose!":scared1:

Somehow he had made a split second decision to shove a broken robot hand up his right nostril. *sigh* It had a jagged edge, and made his nose bleed, and was so far up that I had no chance of getting it myself. Called the Dr. who told me to call 911. Okaaaaay.... I know a foreign object in the nose isn't exactly a good thing, but neither was it a medical emergency! I felt really stupid when I heard "911, what's your emergency?" The EMTs came in 2 minutes (great response time, hope we NEVER need it again), and were really nice. And, might I add, hot young men. But I digress...

They said they couldn't get to it, and that we needed to go to the ER, but that if I wanted, I could drive him myself. So I signed a waiver, and got Riley ready to go. As we were getting ready to leave, I noticed the hand sticking out of his nose. (wow. Taken out of context that sentence sounds REALLY odd!) All of his crying & boogs must have greased that sucker up & helped it slide out.

So, no ER for us! whoo hoo! The bleeding stopped shortly after, and he crashed for a 2 hour nap. Too much excitement I suppose.

Today... I am doing nothing! Except for watching OSU whoop Michigan's sorry behind. I hope.

AMEN, SISTER!

Sorry about the stressful night... this is why there are no kids in my life, I would have been the one needing 911!! :rotfl:

And Julie, I am sorry about the wake up call (and the snow GRRR)

Happy Saturday, hags! We had a big fat breakfast of pancakes, bacon and eggs (pancakes made by me, bacon and eggs made by Brent) and we are just chillin'. My car is stranded at my preschool, so gonna try and get that taken care of today.

I am waiting with baited breath for Becca and Squiddy's Twilight reports, I know they both saw it last night. I got a text from Bex, and Shannon, things do not bode well for our viewing pleasure. But you know have to see it anyway, no matter how sucky we hear it is. We have to decide for ourselves! Anyone else planning on seeing it?

LOL, Shannon!! What a tale! I can't believe you had to call 911! :rotfl: I saw something similar to that on an episode of House once. The little boy stuck a toy soldier up his nose and couldn't get it out. So he stuck a toy police officer up there (to "rescue" the soldier) and when that didn't work, he stuck a toy fireman (to rescue them both)! Clever for a two year old! Sorry you had to go thru such trauma, I hope Riley can recover in time for Christmas.

Where is Judi????

Shannon, I feel your pain. Justin was horrible about putting stuff in his nose and ears. Most of the time it came out on its own, but once we were on our way to the ER when he stuck a bead up his nose. He ended up sneezing in the car and it came out enough for us to grab it. I gave him a tic tac once and he stuck that up there, but that was the last time he ever stuck anything up his nose because it burned so bad. Why do boys do these kinds of things? I think its to give their mothers gray hair, unfortunately for my boys I have artificial brown/red hair. I'm not giving them the satisfaction!

Bonnie, I'm not going to say I hated it. I just didn't love it, maybe I had too high of expectations. I loved Robert Pattinson!! I don't want to give too much away, but I will say Jasper's hair and posture reminded me of Edward Scissorhands. Not even close to what I expected for him, I thought he was this hardened military vampire and he looked like a sissy boy. Let me know what you think after!

See what happens when you let people dance? They get all hoity toity and shove things in their noses! The Puritans were right, dancing is for the devil. Or, the ENT's take your pick.

Judi, are you out there?????????? I sent you a PM to help you find us - are you lost in the snow? Hold on, we'll get Atlas to dig you out. He needs a job to do, I think.

I must say, neither of my boys ever put things in their nose (except fingers, of course;) ). I don't know how I missed that blessed event, but they are 7 and 11 now and we're not looking back.

Thanks for the Danish Modern sideboard, Shannon! It will go well with the minimalist couch and art I ordered for our sitting room. All Sassies must have a place to sit, don't you think?;)

Another day at the swim meet tomorrow, so I probably will not be on the DIS. Have a great day, ladies!

Well leave it to Bon to shut down the thread!

Where are you getting your Twilight info Bonnie? I loved it! I loved the way he looks at her. He's changed a lot from Cedric Diggory! Jacob is pretty hot for a 16 year-old - I felt like quite the perv.

The entire theater was teenage girls with a few of their moms. I felt a little out of place when I started the drooling...:rolleyes1

Gettin' my Twilight info from Heather's friends and their moms, who saw it opening day. What's it to ya, halleluja? ;) So you say it's good? That's good!

I didn't like Twilight so much Squiddy! I loved Robert Pattinson though. I was disappointed with most of it. Now don't throw your ninja squid ink at me.

Where are all the Sassies? I'm about to take off for the Wild Bull, time for our Sunday dinner and bull riding ritual!

Have to agree with Bex. Twilight was rather disappointing, though I could spend hours staring at Robert Pattinson. He is definitely my type, though I am old enough to be his sister. Or Aunt. NOT his mom though, which is the only thing saving me from feeling like a COMPLETE perv.

There were a few funny moments, the cinematography was great, the soundtrack kicks booty, but the acting... left something to be desired IMHO. There were a few times I had to look away b/c I was embarrassed for the actors! And I felt for the men in the audience! It was sooooo lovey-dovey (which I personally don't mind, but I'm sure the dudes did!) I forsee a lot of DHs getting lucky tonight for having to sit through Twilight!!!

I found all my sassy friends.

My wrapping extravaganza is done. I had a good ole time wrapping gifts, making bows and attaching jingle bells to all the presents. Now I just need a tree to put them under.

I've been shopping like crazy and I'm proud to say I'm about 1/2 done. That was my goal to be half finished by Thanksgiving and I made it. :thumbsup2

Kendall really wants to see Twilight. Maybe we'll like it better because we didn't read the book. I always think books are better than movies anyway.
