We don't fly alot, infact we haven't flown in over 4 years. I did a search on Gameboys, that came up from 2001, that said they weren't allowed on the plane. Does anyone know if this is still the case? I will check with US Air, but I just thought maybe someone here might know. Thanks

You can bring them now. You just can not turn them on till the pilot gives the OK, up around 10,000 feet I think.

Gee...we have flown w/ DD gameboy since about 2000 and never have been told to put it away. I didn't even realize there was a time when they weren't allowed!

On newer planes, there is a warning light next to the seatbelt sign that says use of electronic devices prohibited. It is on during takeoff and landing, and they also make an announcement.

I wouldn't be able to get through a flight without my Gameboy. I hate flying, and I need something to take my mind off of it.

Like others have said, you can't use it during takeoff and landing but you can use it once you're in the air. They will make an announcement telling you when you can and can't use it.
